Pilots of some choppers will receive warning about being in sight of aa befor being locked.

I think it works like that?
It makes AA less OP because once you're locked your basically dead regardless.

Probably not a bug. I think it is a good change.
I think the update now simulates radar warning receivers relatively accurately. I don't think receivers can differentiate a radar lock which is created by a targeting system.

Prior to the update, I think the in-game warning more closely simulated missile approach warning systems because pilots would receive an audio warning tone when locked on by an adversary and usually, immediately fired on by experienced users. This system was very unforgiving.

I also thought this was a feature not a bug, but then it should be mentioned in changelog.
In my opinion AA balance is delicate and should not be changed without deeper thought.
