Just started playing PR1.6 and had a couple of questions:
1)Trying to use a headset with it - when the headset is live (unmuted) - assume the "b" button opens the mic allowing you to transmit? - if this understanding is correct some of the games I have played b does not seem to function (do not get a little green radio icon appearing when I hit b)?
2)Realise most WW2 weapons have no optics - but has there been any kind of 2 stage zoom implemented on the ads? - i.e. once you are ADS can you steady aim/control breathing with another key which gives a slightly enhanced zoom.

1. You have to be in a squad to use the squad radio.
2. Doesn't exist in BF2

ok got it - so once in a squad if you hit the "b" your mike will transmit?
So really (in WW2 mod) if you want optics you would need to select sniper class?

B was the hotkey for in-game VOIP which is now disabled. You can change Mumble's hotkeys in the software's settings, but is by default H for local positional audio with a maximum range of 75 meters(?) and numpad 0 for squad chat, just like BF2's VOIP.
The only kit with optics on the WW2 maps is the sniper kit.
There is no steady aim, but you need to let the deviation settle to fire with accuracy - let the two dots at the compass join into one. Prone and crouched accuracy is better than standing.

I do not recall to use H for local speech in fact my default options are set to K:B, in resume I use B for local chat it's any different in meters range?
