So I found this video of battlefield 2 that have a server of 128 player. Are they any possibility of 128 per server? because 100 player server get full at the weekends and have reserved slots so its about 98-95 player per server.

The game barely runs with 100 and we're heavily suffering from low FPS, it's not going to happen anytime soon.

I already asked for 102, even though it doesn't make much of a difference and multiple people denied it. (the extra 2 slots would be reserved slots) So of course no one wants 128 players

I take you haven't seen us play with 200 players huh? That was a cool omaha beach event.

Well extending player limit should be allowed for passworded event servers, but it's not, and there's no reason to it.

Regular PR servers can stay capped at 100, but let us have fun from time to time on pre-planned organised battles with extended playercount made by and for those willing to play it. If you don't like the idea or don't want to waste your time because you know it's gonna lag hard or whatever then just... don't waste your time. Just allow it to happen, please. I'm looking at you Mineral, because I'm pretty sure you were the one saying no every time someone asked. If these kind of events turn into failure you'll have more skeptic people to side with you, what's there to loose?

The correct amount of players is obviously the max at the time + 2.

Well im a new player for this mod so i dont know about that

I remember playing the 128 player servers, I never had a problem with it.

I do actually have a lot of fun on low population servers. I'm a regular "seeder" on any server that is running a map I like. It gets really personal, and encourages communicating between the teams to enable a fight.

Is it the bf2 engine causing this? Any idea if it will be implemented someday?
