Good day everyone, I am new to the project reality mod and upon installing it after creating my account, I got a missing bink32.dll fine error message, does anyone know how can I fix this?

Did you somehow skip updating?
If somehow it didn't update for you, Click arrow next to play -> Check for updates

First of all thank you for replying in such timely manner sir, the forum is proving to be very useful, now here is the thing I tried to update clicking manual instead of the arrows, so can you just walk through with me how to get updated or how to know whether or not my game is updated please sir. Good day Sir, I have checked for the update as shown however I am now getting a Download Error which says :
1231: Cannot apply update! Unable to find udater executable. Please reinstall Project Reality: BF2, any advice on how I can fix this?

The shortcut is broken, it can't find the updater executable when launching from the shortcut. Launch prlauncher.exe directly

Thank you sir, I have made considerable progress and have got the game to start, when playing offline which I tend to do, upon selecting a map, as soon as I click deploy the game says starting server and crashes to my desktop, any suggestions for this?

I opened the game off fullscreen and in a window, I got an error read that read

I hope there is some way this can be fixed I really wanna try this game out.

Check mods/pr/settings/python_errors.log and tell me if there's anything there. This doesn't prevent you from joining servers. Just join a coop server one.

Come to discord and ask for help, that be much faster.

Good Day, These are the errors in the log I believe. Can you direct me to "discord" I am new to this forum my apologies.

I see the problem, this one is my fault

There's a file only used by game servers that depends on Windows stuff that don't come installed by default, so we specifically avoid loading it with "client servers". I set it to load by accident in the recent patch. Almost everyone has these dependencies installed so we didn't notice this.

Discord is a convenient chat thing that's very common recently https://discord.com/invite/Me79Cy, would be much easier to do support there instead of going back-forth on a forum

If you plan to play coop, I still recommend playing on online servers. The AI system will never be stable but we have a few server-side that make it slightly more stable.
