Marlin Large - Namer vs Beast does not work

It just doesnt work. The beasts do absolutely nothing on this map.

Doesnt matter. Beast is so weak it has to stay far from INF. Not so the Namer, it can just jump into a blop of enemies and start pounding. You can literally just push with inf and both Namers together and Mec is completely hopeless.
I shouldnt have to even make this thread. You can take away the beasts entirely or give Idf 2 Merkavas instead, the outcome will be the same. How was this even considered?
And no, the beast literally has no chance of outplaying a Namer. Namer can easily ***-face both beasts and still win with ez.

use to get 2 bmp3s vs 2 AMX RC
replace the 2 beasts with 1 bmp 3 and I'll be 10 times happy

Another get good issue....
You just need 1 AR disturbing the namer so the beast crew can jump out and dig a tow to kill the namer.

Was having New Year's.
Beast has been replaced with BMP-2 (non-ATGM) for next patch.

2x BMP3 would definitely be too much. If were talking about a vehicle with ATGM, it would have to be BMP3 because BMP2 can shoot consecutively, fucking up Namers.
2 BMP2s is a start, not because of their offense, but because they can take more hits. But I think BMP2 + BMP3 will be needed for best (still not ideal) balance in the future. Or offset it by adding a M113 vs Beast. Or maybe adding a Vulcan vs Shturm additionally to the coming changes. IDF balance just isnt easy todo.

Youre right. BMP2s is a good change already. I dont think you can make it better unless you add a whole different mix into it. MEC atleast has better HAT.

I still think we might get steamrolled even with 2 normal bmps, maybe we can get 1 BMP2 with atgm (Not the BMP2M, just the normal BMP2 with atgm) and another bmp2 without. Even if that BMP2 decides to fight a tank, it's most likely 1 shot kill on it if it gets spotted unlike something like a bmp3 which might sustain that damage. Another thing is that it has a low rate of fire so its likely that it might die before it can even reload.

What are you talking about, 2 BMP2s are more than enough, they might need to be smart about taking on the Namers but they will eat infantry up in no time.

Lats can easily kill bmp3s, lats can NOT easily kill namers.

We don't need thermals for MEC, if we even had that the map would be steamroll on inf from any team.
Having 2 BMP2s with ATGMs however (They don't have thermals) can be pretty useful considering the namer's armour PLUS the fact that it has thermals and can steamroll you if it's well smoked

BMP-3 vs Namer can work. But you can not give MEC a BMP-2 with ATGM. BMP-2 is almost immune to .50cal for the one part, for the secont part it can shoot ATGMs consecutively, while the BMP-3 can not. So a BMP-2 w/ ATGM completely outclasses a Namer, both defensively and offensively.

So do the Beasts. You are missing the point of this thread entirely. CROWS Humvees also eat up infantry in no time, but thats not balanced, is it?

Could work. But Bijar is a way bigger map. The Tank v Tank fight is already pretty awkward, BMP3 might tip the balance. But if the current changes still dont work, def a try.

Read first reply. Cant be BMP2s with ATGM. Would have to be BMP3 w/o thermals.

I think he is talking about standard BMP-2, not BMP-2M.
