Because combat is closer; more immediate, more intimate, more balanced and more fun. There are exceptions like some 2k maps and most 4k maps and mec fallujah layer. I much prefer playing on iron sight only layers for the most part. Gaza and Asad Khal are the two best maps in the game for iron sight only.
