What's the point of non respawning assets?

They're either wasted within the first 5 minutes because players yolo them or they never leave main because squad leaders dont want to lose them. Civi cars I can understand but I dont like it either.

Another option to be maybe not have the asset there at all?


Assets are a balance factor. Maybe with whatever map you are talking about the assets have too heavy of an effect on game play.

Give the non repsawning assets to crews that are good and they are often game changes, which is usually why they limit them to 1 spawn. Players are hardcoded you can't expect them to do anything but waste assets regardless of spawning limitations, so git gud or lose ur OP asset.

Trying to make a problem out of something that isnt a problem. Assets that dont respawn in their current form are fine.

On Karbala the only good brdm doesn't respawn. The m97 brdm is dogshit compared to the proper brdm. I prefer HE over thermals. AP is nice to have against techies.

No respawn assets exist either as a balance factor or as a gameplay mechanic. For instance, from a balance perspective the CAS huey on Muttrah can be wasted within the first 5 minutes, sure, but at the same time it can absolutely stop MEC team's initial push/rush with a competent pilot(s). But even then there's still a Cobra and 4 APCs that exist so the loss of that single CAS huey shouldn't be that much of an issue. + Your opinion on the M97 vs. standard BRDM backs this up as you believe the standard is superior hence why the 2 M97s exist for respawn and not the other.

From a mechanic perspective, there are many maps where assets like logis and transport vehicles are no respawn and exist solely for initial transport to flags or potential fob locations. Afterwards the game is almost entirely reliant on trans helicopters for the same tasks.
