Do unarmored players sprint faster than armored players?

I was trying to sprint jump a 2m gap on gaza. As hamas I almost always make the jump. I tried it as idf, and plummeted to my death. Starting distance when sprinting to the gap was the same.

Not faster but longer.

No. All soldiers sprint the same since a couple of patches

Hmm makes sense. I seem to be falling to my death more and more as hamas spiderman.
Then what is there to balance out armored vs unarmored players? If not speed? IDF can already tank an extra 5.56 to the chest. Hummus cant.

Actually, this post by Mats came from an alternative universe. As I said, in our universe, soldiers with light armor and no armor can sprint for a longer period of time than soldiers with full armor. There are no other differences though (so no higher jumps or faster sprint).

I always thought there should be a few different levels of sprint based on the weight of the kit.

That would break the cohesion of the whole squad movement.

Honestly if its similar to like you said it won't be that much of a difference. Like soldiers with less weight to carry will have longer sprints than kits like MG, Combat Engineer and HAT. It would be fine.

FUCK NO.
Weight based systems are the bane of videogames. The meta in such games that implement these systems, is to be fast and light. Insurgency is one such game. Why load up with all the best equipment, that weighs you down and makes you easy prey for snipers. When instead a guy running around the map like a mad man, with just a pistol, laser and suppressor can fuck up your shit just as well, if not better?

We already have this according to Suchar:

If you have less body armor, you sprint for longer distances. I see no need for introducing different sprint speeds for different armor values, too. That will make traversing over terrain as a squad more difficult to do.

We decided that kit based sprint values are bad idea back then. Only armor counts, and only insurgents have multiple armor types

Which insurgent kits? Officer I assume? I know unarmed collaborator used to sprint less.

What about special kits that have heavier load outs?
For instance the U.S. Sniper, HAT, or Breacher.
I get that standard kits would have an average load out, but carrying these heavier kits that are special would make sense to have a limiting factor to go with their special abilities/weapons.
Also, in the opposite direction something like Medic or a light armed kit like most INS kits might have a faster sprint.
Though have a more detailed allocation of sprint time would also work.
I mean you can run with a 15Lb Sniper rifle while carrying other stuff, but those things get heavy fast.
