Logging in-game kill feed

Hello wizards,

Another 'nice feature' sort of question I have at the moment, again for my Fh2 singleplayer sub-mod. Is there a way to have a log made during each game, which just logs the kill feed? Would be nice to do some basic spreadsheet analysis after a game on which weapons / vehicles performed the best, not just in terms of bot tendencies but also my own skill levels with each weapon / vehicle. Of course if such a log generation were likely to cause Fps issues in-game then nevermind - I'm not sure how much extra of a task that would be for the engine.

Any thoughts do let me know!

KR,
Mark

You could download my tool to extract the .PrDemo logfiles and only choose the kill option.

Output would look something like this:

Thanks for offering, have just tried that now Risiko. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but regardless of the 'included data' fields chosen, all the tool creates is one text file, the (*gamename*.PRdemoCHATLOG). Maybe this isn't something I can use given that this is for a game demo in the Fh2 mod rather than PR? Fh2 in admin mode is creating a .bf2demo file and a .bf2cam file, but maybe PR has custom settings in place for the corresponding .prdemo files.

That's not a proper file extension, it is clearly created by his tool. Have you tried opening that file in a notepad of some kind?

*(if you select "Always open with..." you can set it so this "new" extension type will always open with your chosen notepad program)

Sorry yes the *gamename*.PRdemoCHATLOG is a text file and opens with notepad. However it's a blank text file as there was no chatting in game with the bots. I was after the kill feed which I was thinking might show up in a different text file, but again I could be doing this wrong. Just to be clear I was taking the .bf2demo file and renaming it to the .prdemo file extension so that the tool would recognise it - would that be the right method?

Going back to your original thread Risiko where you posted the tool, you noted that a demo file would be classed as broken if there wasn't a MESSAGETYPE_ROUNDEND at the end. Is this something I need to type in the console before stopping the recording - would that help the tool process the kill feed?
