Okay, awhile ago playing around in a pub, routine follows *join squad, pick kit spawn* then i decide hmmm theres a tank, why not try it out now?

So then I proceed to run over, pick up the crewman kit and get ready to drop the ball on some poor suckers with my friends.

...or so I thought.

After jumping in the tank and sitting in the gunner position I noticed I couldnt move the turret... Hmmm thats odd, I got the kit... Maybe I'll try driving... Nope I can't do that either, so what the hell is wrong with this? So i proceed to get out of the tank and stand on top of it for a sec, and get back in, and I still couldnt use it. Then I thought I might have picked up the wrong kit but in the top left it didnt say i had the wrong kit.

I thought to myself for a sec then jumped out of the tank again, to suddenly get polevaulted 900 feet into the air randomly... and well since I had no parachute I just kinda plumted to my death. I had a quick laugh then just closed the game because there was no way I could get in a tank again. So... Anyone know what the hell happened?

Glitch with the kit? The tanks? Battlefield 2 hates me? Whats the 411?

You need a crewman kit to operate armor. Stand near the tank and request it using the comm menu (T). Also you need to be in a squad to do that.

I don't know about getting polevaulted though

There is one more possibility. Tank was simply dammaged.

True... tanks can get heavly damaged and can't be moved.

But if that was on the main base, was probably a glitch and something to be looked at.

Yeah the tank was in the base, I looked through the forum and supposedly it happened to someone else to, maybe it's one of them random bugs with the new damage system? *shrug*

Either way it was funny as hell.

Yeah it seems to be a bug. I think it's rather funny
