New idea on the medic

i know there are tons of threads on the medics, but what if we did what MOH

A where the medic sits there and fixes the guy up and depending on the severity will depend on how long it takes, so a medic can sit there and the animation can be him taking out bandages and such and the other persons health first stops decreasing (from bleeding) then slowly goes up. and of course to get back full health back they need to be medevaced or something. and since it takes so long to heal just one person, the medic might have to rush from one person to the other simply stopping bleeding before they go on with doing anything else.

That sounds fine.

...sounds great...
impossible to implement.... sorry
MAYBE you can get an animation showing hte medic moving the body around and acting like he is bandaging it, but no way to make it take longer if the guy is hurt worse.
even that is really complicated. you replace the defib with a 'weapon' that revives (awakes from unonciousness) the hurt guy, you click fire, it does a long animation, after 10 seconds, then it fixes the guy.
but i can't see how you'd sync it to the body... he'd just be waving his arms around ... thats really complicated...

This is a lot better than the paddles they put into this game... Corpsman don't carry shock paddles LOL.

i see you point. but things like radar and stuff, if they are damaged really bad it takes much longer to repair then if its damaged slightly bad (im talking about the difference of putting 2 C-4 on it to blow it up, compared to 3 C4) i THINK. im not 100% positive. also, it takes longer to give someone health if they have 6 slivers of health missing instead of 2. but i think you actually deal with modififying stuff where i have no idea about that stuff so i have ot take your word for it.

well...
critically wounded is a state....
a sort of '1' or '0' thing.....
there is no varity of ways to exist in this state, you either are critically wounded or you arn't.....
you can't be 'more critically wounded' then the guy next to you. true, you can have taken more damage, but that isn't what the medic is fixing when he defibs you (i dont think, i may be wrong on this), he is just zapping you out of this state.
this might be wrong, the game might still keep your damage amount with you while you are critically wounded, but, it wouldnt need to with the current system.
this isnt to say it is100% for sure impossible to mod it to be different, but it would be really freakin complicated and may very well be impossible.
on the subject of medic style ideas:
if you get shot in the leg, you go critically wounded so the ragdoll can take over, you fall over, and then after about 3 seconds, you get back up by your self, (like you were auto defibbed or something)
this would simulate realistically falling over and tripping when shot in the leg. like that idea? (no idea if it would work or not...)

Wrecks have HP independant of non-wreck HP. That's why it takes longer to repair the commander's toys when more c4 is used to blow it up. Same appies for soldier wrecks, which is why artillery blasts will instantly kill you (IE no wounded state).

Agreed It would make the game alot more realistic if Ragdoll took over real quickly if you were shot, no more putting several shots in a guy running, and guess what, he keeps on running like it was nothing.

Ya that has always irked me... BAM a hot piece of steel just passed through your femur at Mach 3, and... you give off smoke and keep running at me?
Noo.... Try collapse to the ground screaming in pain...
IRT to Paladin: So BF2 does keep a sort of health meter (its just way negative) once you go either dead or critical, and it stays with you till you... dissapeer? That is good then, this whole idea i explained not working is actually possible! yay!
