Don't randomly copy files to game folder. It's not needed and it won't help.

Install DirectX runtime package. Note that first step includes running two installers before it's complete.
- Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010), run it and give it a temporary folder for extracting files. Then go to that folder and run DXSETUP.exe.
- Download d3dx9_43.dll and copy it into your C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder, overwriting the file that might already be there.

No idea. Sorry

There is something wrong with your computer if installing DirectX won't fix the DirectX issue.
I don't recommend this super ugly hack because it can mix up 32-bit and 64-bit DirectrX files in wrong way, but if you wish you can try and see if it helps.

Don't worry, I'll try that method and if it doesn't work I'll change windows to see if it works, but thanks for trying.

It sounds like the issue might be with the debug version of DirectX files (D3DX9d_24.dll). Maybe you can try installing the DirectX SDK (June 2010) — it includes the debug DLLs that aren't part of the regular DirectX install
tubidy.

at D3DX9d_24.dll error is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're keen to play! It's a classic DirectX problem often seen with older titles, exploring DirectX End-User Runtime, reinstalling the game, or checking for specific installers on the game disc are good next steps. Hope you get it resolved soon!
