Cockpit Ambient Sounds - Help Please.

Hello, I'm Gattobuono, the creator of DUST, a hardcore tactical single-player mod for BF2.
My next release is going to focus on Close Air Support, so I'm trying to get as much 'realism' as possible into the aircraft that I'm working on.
For a long time I've been wanting to add the sound of the tyres on the runway, but never succeeded.
Perusing the PR2 files I came across the following sound file: cockpit_wheels.ogg
What I'd like to know is whether this sound actually functions on the PR aircraft, and if so, how?
