Its to cycle through every weapon type including grenades and claymores. You turn yourself into a cheap booby trap, eye activated. Best to shoot somebody not shooting at you with a bolt action. Its your confidence level more than anything. Worst part is getting a sniper rifle with scope because its all close range.

I'm sure this is the best duo.

(The good thing about the AP rifleman is that no one knows how to use it. ;) )

Do you think removing them would make the mode more balanced, or would it take away some of the variety that makes it fun?
By removing bolt actions, it would NOT break the flow of the gamemode. Bolt actions are like driving a car a 100mph on the highway, but being forced to slow down to 5. Or, imagine listening to a great song, the intro is fire, the hook is stellar, the chorus is amazing, but the break sucks; because it's too broken. It fucks up the pace of the song and makes listeners grind through that part, just to get to the outro. Which now feels compromised, because of how bad the break in the song was. How bout a food analogy? Imagine eating an amazing multi course meal at a restaurant. All the appetizers and entrees have been great so far. But the latter entree sucks. And it's the entree right before the dessert portions of the meal.

I understand your reasoning, but respectfully disagree. Bolt actions force either extreme agression, going so close you CANNOT miss, or extremely careful positioning. But they perfectly fit in gungame, which requires skill with all weapons.

I personally find the mosin ironsight stage easier than the M240 with ACOG and no BUIS. Also, it would be cool if the various Lee-Enfields were also possible, which I haven't had yet
