On the mini map Id like it if you only saw friendly ocupied vehicles. Empty vehicles wouldnt show up. This would help in sneaking around, and be much more realistic. In real life you dont have a magic map that shows every unocupied vehicle in a one mile radious, why should we?

totally agree, i've lobbied for this in DC and DCX not to mention those gray icons give away if someone just exited a vechical... oh hey look there's a sniper over there!

That always pisses me off when I play a sniper and I either have to use a vehicle to get to a good spot, or it takes forever to get there without one, and when you do get there, they know your general position.

I think EA might even take this out themselves.

Not unless the majority of people dont want it which I am not sure is the case.

it would be good if you could see greys within say, the bounds of your base, so if someone wants to sit outside it with a tank you have to make visual contact with it to know its there

Here it's simple you see unoccupied friendly vechs. You see any friendly occupied vechs. You never see enemy vechs or enemy occupied vechs. If you want to confirm friend or foe you must make a visual ID and see its not on the mini map.

but what if a friendly steals an enemy vehicle?

The minimap will probably end up being more like an actual map, in project reality. However, friendly vehicles will still be shown on the map.

Nope.

I think that's a good idea, you should have to be very vocal about your position if you just hijacked an enemy vehicle. Could you imagine doing that in real life? Hmm come to think of it...maybe the abilty to steal enemy vehicles should be removed all together or only be available to a specific class...don't know just an idea

Yeah, you'll have to be vocal about it to prevent friendly fire. With regards to the stealing of enemy vehicles, nothing "high tech" beyond a simple automobile will be able to be hijacked. Nothing that requires any kind of training.

where do we draw the line for high tech? you need training to drive a Humvee do you not?

Nope. If you have a driver's license, you should do just fine. An M1A1 on the other hand is quite difficult to drive, even with training.

i was just wondering, are humvees manual or automatic transmission?

Automatic.

They do give you training to drive a Humvee, because of it's off road capability, and size. But even I could get behind the wheel one and do just fine. BTW this is probably better to have in the Dev Forum....

There's no reason why the public shouldn't see this.
