Hello. I'm having trouble connecting to public servers. If I understand correctly, this is due to my low PR account level (level 0).

I have a primary Steam account, which contains a fair number of games, as well as time spent playing them. Could you please tell me how I can earn XP to level up my account so I can play on the servers?

Your Steam profile must be public when the account level is calculated. After that, the profile can be set back to private, if needed. See https://www.realitymod.com/manual/en/se ... pr-account

Account level can be recalculated at Launcher -> Support -> Account tab.

I recalculated the level in the launcher, but it's still at 0.

I'm not sure what are the factors that affect the account level, but based on my experience buying Steam games is one of them. Like it says on the manual: "This level determines how much your account is deemed legitimate and not a throwaway account."

From PR point of view account level is only a piece of information. It's up to server admins to decide what is the minimum level allowed on the server. In case a server requires non-zero account level, might be worth trying to ask the admins of the server to whitelist you.
