Hey,
Thought this might be helpful... go to "Virtual Tours" in the left-hand menu. It has 3D tours of a few things. Mostly Canadian but hey...

Wow... they could really throw someone off if they didn't understand that those were Canadian weapons. I took a look at the Javelin seeing TOW and the 81mm mortar and that is NOT what our Javelin looks like at ALL. lol
Then I looked up and saw the maple leaf... not many sites like that exist for the American military but if you have one, definitely post it up.

That is just the tripod verson i assume. You are refering to the shoulder fired javelin? 1 missile loaded?
Its probably the same missile in that canadian version just on a stand with 3 loaded.
I would think they also use the shoulder fired version too.

No not at all... looks COMPLETELY different. The rocket itself might be the same (don't know the specs on the Canadian version)... but the look is WAY off. The American Javelin looks alot similar to the Predator in game... except for the missing control section (or Game Boy as they called it) on the side of the tube.

Yea. that is the 1 missile loaded shoulder fired javelin i was refering too...
I was saying that version they have on there will possibly have the same 'missiles' inside each pod. I never meant it has 3 shoulder fired launchers stuck on a tripod.

I've seen the internals of Javelin and it just seems a bit bigger than that Canadian version. I think they just have the same name is all.
By the way... the Javelin (for anyone interested) is fired from the above position only. The Marines do not utilize a tripod, bipod, or any other assisted equipment item. It's you, and the weapon.

The Javelin used by Canadian forces is an anti-aircraft missile. Completely different systems, same name.

Thought so... thanks for the clarification. I don't know a damn thing about the Canadian military.
