I believe that it makes sense to be punished the extra time when you die at the hands of an enemy, but to punish you additional death time because someone on your team makes a mistake is stupid in my opinion. Also if someone is intentionally TKing, then this punishment is even more ludicrous.

I believe that the game should keep track of your additional spawn time, but only utilize it when you are killed by the opposing force.

That would cause more tk's, because they won't have an extra spawn time.

Most of the time TK's are accidents. So how would this cause more TKs?

Umm on like every server I have been on there has been like atleast one person with -48 or more.

How about cutting spawn time to about 5 seconds when result of a TK?

The people you are speaking of with "-48" are the ones who are TKing. The people who they TK are the ones who are having to suffer the additional spawn times.

What if when you TK someone you get an additional spawn time added to yours if the person decides to punish you (In case it was an unintentional TK), but the person who was TK'd gets to spawn back in the regular ~30sec without their accumulated time added on to that ~30sec.

If the player dies under regular terms there after, they suffer their ~30sec + accumulated spawn time like normal.

Well then ion, thats happened to me many times...but I don't care, because the spawn times are too long anyways. I have enough time to go down stairs and get a drink.

Then you are most definitely playing on the wrong servers.

I would have to agree with that statement

<edit> just realized that the penalty hits you every death and can add up over a long round. oh well...i still dont think it's that big of a deal.

well either you are really fast or you just die way too much.

And I don't know how you manage to find servers where there is always at least 1 guy who loves tk'ing, but you might want to try some other servers.
