Probably pointless, but who else runs to get the PKM on AlBasrah? I love that weapon, it literally turns you into Rambo! Stand up straight, aim at the blackhawk firing at you 30 metres away whilst standing on the top of the building ... open fire like a crazy man with a bandana and watch bodies fall out and the hawk start smoking!

I love it ... am I alone with this?

EDIt - there is a secondary lesson ... Blackhawks are not fighters ... they are glorified flying jeeps so dont treat them like a cobra.

yes it is a PKM and its one of the pickup kits found dotted about the place.

I've never found a pickup actually, not on any side, although I've never looked either...

it wipes out bhs, full humvees, scares the hell out of cobra

yea haha it definatley makes you feel powerful.

Its cool to play insurgent style. I used it just to spray all over the Nortth VCP while the usmc held it. Defintley makes them keep their heads down lol

dont look for kit bags they are just the weapon 1/2 submerged into the floor.

Yup, do a search for Albasrah Insurgent tactics in this forum and Duck kindly put up a map of ammo dumps and weapon pickups (although the M95 is wrong)

Yeah, I love the support guns. Absolutely wonderful.

Insurgents is a lot of fun to play, few days ago some guy was driving me around in the two seater car in Basrah while I was on the sunroof with AA. Man it was great, he drove me around like a crazy taxi driver as I shot the A10s and choppers out of the sky. Eventually it was so effective that the rest of our squad mates followed us around in the technical pickup truck with the 50 cal in the back to support us. Whenever I ran out of ammo, my driver would get out and give me an ammo bag. It was perhaps the most fun I've ever had on that map.

I bet the pilots on their side HATED it.

Back to the PKM: Yeah, you can shoot down pretty much everything, including low flying jets going for a bombing run, slowing down and such. However, the blackhawk isn't entirely useless. The minigun on the blackhawk can MASSACRE if used properly. We had about 3 squads guarding one spot in Basrah, blackhawk flew by and did circles around us (great pilot) and the gunner just annihilated us. Thankfully someone eventually got support and gunned them till they left.

how come I killed M and took his M95 then and said "thanks for the M95" then I got killed by another and he said "thats ok I have another"

So that's what it is. All of my team mates are wandering around looking for superweapons on the ground, while I actually defend stuff.

It's unrealistic for these weapons to be just laying around.

I found the M95 once, but I was hit by a stray bullet, and got the LSD vision. Couldn't do shit when the guy came up to me, and shot me.
