A topic just to brag about his 1337 new card.

BF2 runs on cards as old as nVidea 5200s and ATI 9600. I personally run medium on a 6600GT but does that really matter?

I use GeForce 7600GT to run. Everything runs fine. I'm gonna wait for more dx 10 midrange cards and maybe pick one up this summer. I don't believe in running high-end cards because you spend so many money on them only to find out that a few months later, they're not supported. Mid-range cards run everything high.

BFG Nvidia 6200 256mb, or something. All settings low except for geometry, and terrain. Also 100% video distance (absolutely required to play this game).

Same as Smashers up there. Except GeForce 6600 128mb. Does the job. What i need more is RAM. BF2 isn't intensive on the ol' card as it is on RAM.

Yea I run a 8800 gtx as well and it makes all the difference, everything looks so real now, and runs so smooth maxed out.

lol, trying to brag about your video card. Go to overclockers forums to do that, not here.

IRT Clyp's comment (not trying to rag on you or anything) "what does it matter anyway" Graphics are a HUGE part of BF2 and PR. if you have never played it on all high and 1600 x 1200 resolution or higher, then you wouldnt know, so I can see where your coming from. But when you can, it makes all the difference in immersion and fun. The game is still very good looking.

lol @ the I have an pwnage vid card post. 7900GS here maxed out. Runs v quick.

My advice to you all dont buy a new dx10 8800 until the games start explicitly supporting it. When your gaming is hindered greatly by not having one then buy one. you are wasting yours or your mothers money by buying one before ;)

Thankfully we have PR and wont be needing to play anything too demanding for years i would say.

overclocking kills your computer. I've tried it once and I couldn't get anything to boot. Gladly, Asus and the gods were smiling at me and set it back to factory default :) .

I overclocked my CPU and saved $200. It is something that you should research befre doing though and it can take a few days (about 4 hours plus 30 hours testing) to get stable.

I have not had much luck overclocking videocards though. The slight increase in graphics was not worth the large increase in heat.

Did I EVER mention anything about Overclocking in my post?? and if your referring to the website I talked about, the overclockers forums ( I didnt mean any overclocking forums in general, a certain one) is not JUST for overclockers, its a forum for everything computer related.

Heres the link. Its a very popular website for computer help, chat, benchmarks, etc.

Yeah, I have a AMD X2 4600+ and I got mine OC'd at 2.82 ghz (from 2.4ghz) and I effectively beat out FX-62's (stock at 2.8ghz) in all my benchmarks. I saved $500. Only differnce is the FX-62 has a completly unlocked mulitplier, mine is unlocked up to 12x.

Locked, replaced with a full on computer specs thread, much more informative then just a video card thread.
