What DON'T you want to see in the Mod?

Req's forum post has been very productive and helpfull in creating the mod, but what we would like to know is, what changes should in your view be made to transform an arcade game in to realism?

Rambo-ism must be abolished....

Rambo-ism is the sole destroyer of all that is fun, when people decide that they are the pwnx0rnat0r they ruin the game, through careful mapping and modifications we must abolish ones desire to work alone as working in a team will provide far better results

I agree rambo has got to go....I also want to make sure their is no vehicle waste. I hate seeing people jump into planes just to get out in enemy territory, espiecally when I had jumped into the ginner seat for that same plane....

Could you let the pilots jump only when they're hit and lost Maneuverability of planes?
or just let the men who waste vehicles lose a lot of scores?

No auto vech. respawn

I always thought it would be cool that in the beginning of a game each team had a main base (that was out of bounds for the other team) and in this base there was say the load out of tanks in DC's 73 eastings and the load out of planes in DC's no fly zone and that is all you get. There is no respawning vechicles. This means the fool that ejected from his f16 for no reason has now seriously hurt his team. Well maybe allow humvee's to respawn but that's it.

!!I have a idea!! make a class that called "pilot"with only pistal and telescope but has a parachute...Then make other class with no parachute , then they can't be skippers! :wink:

Fh made a pilot kit but it backfired, had almost the opposite effect in some ways. No one takes the pilot kit, basically all but 1 or 2 pistols suck in FH. But that doesnt stop them from bailing out... oh no. They get shot up, and then a few seconds later "noobtard bailer is no more". So now youve got pilots that lose almost all kills they might have gotten because people bail and die instantly. And it really isnt all that bad for the guy that got shot down, it may be better. He would die either way, but now his opponent doesnt get any points AND he gets to spawn in time to get "his" plane again. The only way I could see this working is making it so that bailing without a parachute counts as a suicide, wich it really is, and they get -2 and possibly a delayed spawn time. And please guys, make the pistols worth having, I hate having to shoot someone 5 times to kill them.

I can guarantee that removing friendly tags, increasing the respawn time and to less extend removing death msgs will automatically remove the rambo attitude...I'm running a small 24/7 reality server in JO with all the above and 60 secs respawn time..and u get very few...but commited serious gamers...it's funny how the whole gameplay changes...as you can go 5-10 mins..without hearing a gunshot...!!
No vehicles respawn will ensure that no one will waste vehicles...

I want to see the whole "pfft I can just respawn easy if I die" idea gone. I think since this is a reality based game you should value your life. Perhaps make it more of a deathmatch kind of mod?

That however used to be a reason (in DC/BF42) for people to do kami. attacks, as for some twisted reason they wanted to get the highest negative score. We are addressing this issue and will surely come up with a solution which the community will find agreeable. :)

The whole spawntimes issue is one that im not quite sure about, i.e. in BF1942 and BFV the servers could choose their spawn times, the only way to increas it was to be punished for TKing, we will have to see what BF2 allows

I won´t that helicopters fly like helicopters an not like this cheap one from Battlefield Vietnam.Make it that helicopter flying becomes an art!

I dont want to see campers (this includes vehicle campers). I think that things like Helicopters and Planes should have fuel limits or something to force people not to camp over someones base and kill them when they spawn.

Also, I dont want to see crappy physics. I hated the way helicopters were in BFV but I loved them in DC.

well what kind of fuel limits should we impose roberto, most of those vehicles have at least an hour of fuel in them, helis and cars even more, fuel limites would become unrealistic to a degree
