why isn't there a US Navy team in there, as there is just about everything else, and since there are ships after all
yeah i guess.'[R-DEV wrote:Riki_Rude_BTYC']So since there is a carrier we should put a navy faction in there is that what you mean?
The US Corpsman class is Navy, and you can always pretend that the MSPF class is a member of a SEAL platoon attached to a MEU(SOC).theit57 wrote:why isn't there a Navy team in there, as there is just about everything else, and since there are ships after all

how bout equip them like you normally would, as with anyother team. oh and btw thats verry offensive as my family is Navy!'[R-PUB wrote:Maistros']Yes, equip them with brooms, fire hoses, and potato peelers.
I've taken the liberty of correcting your grammar. .'theit57' wrote:How about equipping them as you normally would with another faction? Also, I happen to find that verry offensive as some of my family is in the Navy.
Well, since the only maps with ships on them are coastal ones where the objectives are on land, there isn't much need for a Navy faction. The ships are static, so they don't require a crew, except gunners. And modeling a surface warfare crewman only to operate the few guns that are on ships would be a class noone would play.theit57 wrote:yeah i guess i could, but...
'[R-PUB wrote:Maistros'] until there are Naval Wartime Maps (I doubt there will be since you can't move ships)
So there is to be no Naval Special Wrafare? Or SEABEES? Or any Navy team for that matter?'[R-DEV wrote:Eddie Baker']Well, since the only maps with ships on them are coastal ones where the objectives are on land, there isn't much need for a Navy faction. The only other surface craft are RHIBs, which are also operated by Marine coxswains. Marine and Navy pilots wear the same wings and go to the same school. While there are Navy personnel aside from SEALs and Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen who operate inland or on surface platforms in small unit tactical roles, such as EOD teams, Seabees, ship's VBSS teams and the "new" Riverine units, these are not forces designed to or capable of seizing and holding territory like the Army and Marines. I know they are very good at what they do in the real world, but they would not bring anything to the game.
And as for you being in the Navy, I'm am truely sorry, as I just signed up today'[R-PUB wrote:Maistros']It's not meant to be offensive, I'm currently in the Navy!
It's a seabee joke. They tell you in basic to mess with you, that you'll either be given a broom, a fire hose, or a potato peeler.
What coronado Map! Thats where I grew up! I'm somewhere else now though.'[R-PUB wrote:Maistros']my Coronado map, WIP)
OK, that was pretty funny.'[R-PUB wrote:Viper5']Bring in the Seabees!!!!
