AA Guns going lethal.

Dunno if anyone has brought this up erlier. When our teams AA guns (quad thingies) has been destroyed and I try to repair it, I'll die trying. Ive tried like 4 times and ive been killed everytime. Its allway when the guns go from wreck to operational. The second it gets healed it blows up and kills me at the same time? Is this a feature or bug? Really annoys me...
