Fancy colors for senior PR communitymembers

I am sick as a dog and I've had to clear my driveway of approximately 3 tons of snow... By hand so bear with me;

I was thinking that perhaps there could be some sort of reward for longterm members of the community such as his or her name in a fancy new color.
Let's say pink...?? <-- That looks like pink to me anyway... Also but not necessary put the name in bold face. Not that any of this is a demand just a friendly suggestion...

What requirements would you need?
Imo about 2 years of active participation in the community.

How to apply?
Start a moderated sticky where the applicant can simply post... whatever... Not quite but all the info necessary is already on display, right? Date joined number of posts and what not...
A mod will then run a quick scan to see if the numbers add up and that at least SOME of those posts where NOT in the "spam all day word association" thread. ;)

Then it will be up to whatever powers necessary to put the applicants name in pretty color. And voila! Wouldn't you know? You just got an uncle called Bob.... Or he was a monkey... I keep mixing the 2 up... :-P

The cons is that it may create some sort of elitism in the community but I think we already have that, peeking at the off limits Tourney forum. Relax, I'm not going to ask you to open that up to the public. ;)

Interresting idea or a no go from the start?

Edit:
****! Thi might've been better in General... Sorry..... :o ops:

I think someone wants a pink name is what I think.

Elitism in public... I dunno. Maybe add a sort of title. Like "long-time spammer", "gun expert" and things like that...

But checking the forums and suddenly seeingKP would be quite something...

The problem with this is that people will start spamming like leet n00bs in order to get a pretty coloured name...

On my Borat forum I've implemented a scheme where members can have "Elite Member Status" if they do something for the community or are top members. There's no set requirements, awards are just handed down on discretion. That way I don't get idiots spamming the forums.

duhh...whats spam? Lets give all the spamzors prety colored names since spam sounds cool. ;)

I think we should give everyone with post counts over 4,918 special colored names.

As the only Predator on the board I feel that I should have a special coloured (invisible, if possible) name tag, to differentiate myself from these pathetic humans.

I also feel I should be exempt from the rules reguarding not posting in silver.

The R-PUBZ and R-MODZ are already highlighted. Just work hard and get those positions if you want. Or learn some modding and become an R-CONVICT or work even harder and become an R-DEV.

R's for all!!!

Umm..... no?

Number of posts shouldn't really matter as anything more than as a guide to see that the applicant hasn't simply been lurking without participating for the past 2 years. (if the required time set to become a senior citizen will be 2 years...)
It would be up to the mod that does the screening to make sure that the applicant is not just seeking fancy colors by way of the word association thread and other threads like it.

Oh yeah, "someone" DOES want a pretty colored name! ;)

I think if you have been on the forum for 1 year and have a thousand posts you should get it. that way spamming doesnt really matter, and most people that have been on for a year have 1,000 posts already anyways. I think pink would be perfect heheh.

IIRC Pink was being reserved by Wraith for Crawley's R-*** designation (No Joke)

[R-SPAM] seems appropriate for us nuts who have been here so long and posted so much.
