hi guys i was just on a Muttrah server and there was a squad running around with the support kit, but i problem is that im sure that if u shot one of them guns whilst standing it would send you flat on your arse. So maybe in the nxt version maybe increase the recoil dramaticaly, or maybe setting it up so you can only use the gun whilst prone?

Well, posted a while back a guy put up a video of a troop with two M49s one in each hand firing and he didnt fall over. I think its fine to be able to do that.

well i think the recoil needs to be sorted out on it though

research before you assume
the 5.56mm FN Minimi/M249 has lower recoil and greater accuracy than an assault rifle such as the M16 or L85 - it's major drawback is it is 3 times heavier than an AR

If it was chambered in 7.62mm and higher than yes I would agree to an extent, an M240 for example is probably manageable in small bursts standing but the weight of the weapon would prevent you from keeping it shouldered for more than a few seconds

No, the support gun just got FIXED...leave it, its great, learn to deal with it if its bothering you seriously i love the support, DONT TAKE MY SUPPORT GUN AWAY!!!!!

Yeah I saw the video... it looked very 'wary' but stupid. The recoil is fine I think

The SAW rocks at the moment...very nice to feed enemies with bullets on close ranges.

The Saw is perfect the way it is now, I'm positive that you could use it in standing position.
It is chambered for 5.56mm and it is heavy, there wont be any problem with excess recoil, like falling on your behind.
Being able to fire it relativly accurately is perfectly realistic while standing, especialy in controlled bursts which is what I do.
Please leave it the way it is Dev's its perfect, all the support kits are perfect now, except they need more ammunition.

oh right im sorry guys , its just i used to play a game called Joint Operations and the recoil whilst standing up was real bad, you needed to lie to be able to fire the guns accuratly. The guns they had were the M60,M249 SAW and one more which i cant remember

The SAW fires the same round as the M16A2 rifle, which is very low recoil. The SAW is a heavier weapon than the A2, so the 249 would actually have a lower recoil cause it's a heavier weapon. SAW gunners learn to lean into the weapon as it's firing to help control recoil and muzzle climb. If we are talking about the old M60, the M240 or the PKM that would be a different story. Those have much higher recoil then the SAW.
