Some recent thoughts to improve gameplay

I would like to hit up a few areas of improvement with this post.
First up Insurgent Gameplay:
I'm primarily speaking of Al Basrah when I say this. Insurgent forces don't have all the nice things that the US has, but that's why they work with grass roots organizations and utilize guerilla warfare. One of the main points in guerilla warfare is to have your forces hidden amongst a civilian population to hide. Is there a way to have AI Bots walk around as civilians?
Also why can't insurgents have heat seeking anti-air man portable weapons...they do in real life. Whether they are stinger's provided by the US during previous wars or it can be systems provided by Iran, Syria or even Russia.
As to the G3, I didn't see to many G3's rolling around Iraq, to some it's a status symbol (also when they break there's very little parts available to make them work again), mainly what's out there are AK's (various makes from Polish made, to Russian made) and snipers like former Russian made rifles and even some Enfields rifles, although there are SVD's floatin around too. IED's should be more powerful also.
Secondly USMC:
Since when did the Marines get an MH-6B (you know as the little bird with benches)? MH-6B's are operated by the 160th SOAR (NightStalkers). But they are a lot of fun to fly so maybe they should stay, lol.
Also medic's should probably carry more than a generic med bag. Perhaps some quikclot, dressings and tourniquets. Then have them call for a blackhawk/humvee to transfer their litter back. That could be instead of having a spawn time?
Since the SF are using the P226, I'm guessing they are SEALs, if that's so could they swim under the water with use of a rebreather and tank?
With all this said, I must say PR is to the most fun I've had in a while. It's actually brought me back from 2142 to play this more and more. Great job yall and whatever the new versions bring I'm sure it will be great. Some of the things I've suggested above might not be available due to engine restrictions and other just might not be available due to gameplay restrictions.

AI civis have been discussed, and disreguarded as too complex/lag causing, IIRC
The insurgents have SA-7 pickup kits scattered here and abouts
Most insurgents carry AKs, only the war veteran carries a G3 IIRC, and they have been issued to several armed forces across the ME.
Thats, again, has been brought up many times before, and I believe the current excuse is that the "USMC" team actually represent a brouder representation of US forces. There has also been talk of eventually mostly replacing it with a Huey variant of some kind.
I think we've discussed medivac before, but I cant remember what happened, though it was probubly abandoned too.
The US SF are not SEALs, their maritime special purpose forces, or some such. Also, swimming under water is more or less unpossible in the BF2 engine, IIRC, and would also be fairly useless.
As for having the P226, maybe the devs can help out on that one?

AI already suggetsed
MANPADS alread in there, they are pick up kits. Keep looking.
Hmm, im not too keen on having the War vet class and Spec op class in there. The GP-30 is a bit over used and i doubt the high requencey of todays forgien spec ops in IRAQ and Afgan.
I think keep the BH but make them more...user friendly.
Alternative and extra medical gear has been suggetsed before.
Breather Tank? Frogman? I already suggested this. Also, a member of the community has modeled(soon to be skinned) MP5 SD. That in combination with the BF2 SF(SAS spec ops class) skin would do for a frogman if you ask me
...mongol...

When you add the US Army faction, you should name the special forces the Army Ranger...

All of these have been discussed, Scout-R. Please do a search.

Bob, the Maritime Special Purpose Force is an element within a Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), which includes assets from divisional and Force Recon (now Marine Special Operations Battalions), forming reconnaissance and direct-action platoons, and sometimes a SEAL Platoon that is attached to the MEU(SOC) or Expeditionary Strike Group. So, SEALs can be part of the MSPF. We included the P226 to hint that they were possibly SEALs and used the MSPF title to leave it ambiguous so the various Marine Recon and SEAL wannabes could pretend to be whichever they like and not bother us to make different models and skins for operators who perform almost the same job with almost the same equipment.

Army Special Forces and 75th Ranger Regiment are two different animals, CE, but both are carnivorous.

LOL, was wonderin Eddie. I don't have experience with the Marines (other than them stealing my hat, but that's another story), and the Navy, but I knew that the MEU's SF use a Kimber .45 similiar to the Desert Warrior, lol. Well that explains that.
CENINJA, I don't know about the Ranger's being SF, they are advanced and well trained but the US Army has it's own Operational Detachment Alphas (A-Teams), one of them being SFOD-D known as Delta Force (CT unit).

I don't know if the Kimber ICQB Pistol that was issued to the disbanded Marine Corps SOCOM Detachment I will continue to be purchased for the Marine Special Operations Battalions. Right now they still use the 20 year old MEU(SOC) Pistols, which are M1911s customized by the Precision Weapons armorers at Quantico from COTS (including some parts from Kimber), military stock and custom-made components.

I had heard some about that and knew Kimber was involved some where down the line, wonder if the parts were back when Kimber had the contract goin' with Chip McCormick. I heard the latest contract out for the .45 caliber pistol was cancelled.
