btw YES i serched this time

ops:
ok so can we make it possible to have all vehicles run out of gas? then you can have them refuel at gas stations or have a m35 variant truck with unlimited fuel go around and refuel things or have them commander placed?
it can prevent spawn camping with vehicles because they would need to go back for fuel and then give the enemy team a chance to move out from where they were being camped and stuff. is this even possible/ a good idea for pr?

Given the length of games I really don't think it would be realistic for vehicals to run out of gas within that span of time.

Uh, I'm sure even the fish like petrol drinking habbits of the M1A2 dont cause it to run out of fuel that quickly.
Let alone things like landrovers.

I think that vehicles like that are designed to run on a tank for a while so it wont just run out in the middle of something. Plus there are gas stations already in some maps

And gas in Middle East is Free (not literally)

If you do this, please don't make the a-10 possible to refuel in mid air like how repairs and reloading do.

Maybe for the gameplay idea, to avoid baseraping...
But I don't really think you're gonna run out of gas as fast as a round hehe. Even if it lasts like 3 hours... Of course it would be proportional, but I personaly don't think is necessary.
If it's gonna be added, there should then exist an indicator on the hud, since the vehicles panels are all just texture...
Would work like a "stamina" for vehicles (don't know if this can be implemented on the engine) and the gas stations would work same way the supplies do, i guess.

some of the longest battles in the game last for an hour maybe a bit longer. I agree on that it wouldn't be very realistic. What type of tanks consumes that much in just 30min. Must be a whopper of an engine.

My abrams ran out of gas, changing to electric now.

All the tanks in PR have ranges in excess of 200 miles, I dont think they'll run out as the total size of the largest current PR map is only 2 square kilometers, IIRC

Yeah, I can imagine a high frequency pitch whine, from the engine as it moves 3kph over a steep incline. I mean it would strike fear into my heart to hear such an engine in a monster. lmao

the longest lasted round for me was 3 hours
well if it does go ingame it will all be shortened lol so like if u drive from one side of the map to the other u would run out of gas and stuff or if your idle for a long time u will still loose it

The real abrams only have a range of 300 miles, thats enough to run around freely in a big map, getting blown up by rpgs comes before running out of fuel.

Such a thing will have no beneficial impact.

I think it would be neat and maybe when the vehicle goes critical the fuel drains like crazy in some vehicles. Honestly though, it seems like it'd be a ***** to code if it's even possible.

It might be possible to use the overheat feature, I suppose. Moving the tank casues it to "heat up" and eventually it will have "over heated" representing it running out of fuel, the problem with this ofcourse is that the fuel would recharge after a while.
Actually, forget it. Thats a rubbish idea for implimentation.

it could be like that but have it set so u need something to replenish the "over heat" bar

If it works, don't try and screw it up.

If this was going to happen then we would need some way to turn the car on and off or you would be in trouble when you try to get away from the heat of the battel

A hummer H1 has Fuel efficiency of like 5mpg on gas, Diesel, on the other hand is a good 17mpg, and has 2 20gallon tanks, so range of (i think) 200+miles
