not sure if this has been brought up before (i'm pretty new to the mod and love it) but would it be possible for 2 different forces to team up on a map (example US and British forces) against another force or forces?


I'm no expert in making mods but was wondering if this is possible and/or in plans for the future?

It's impossible to make a 2 vs 1 game but it's possible to call your team "allied force" and give the medic and rifleman the skin of USMC soldiers and give the AT and engineer the skin of PLA soldier I guess...

Why in the hell would PLA and USMC be together?? I think you meant Brits and USMC for an example, and yes this is possible and has been experimented with before as Combined arms maps, where half the classes are USMC and half are Brit classes. I dont know who we would put with China, certainly not the MEC.

You wouldn't need to put anyone with them.

USMC + British vs. PLA would be fine.

we have discussed this before the only way we could do this is by having selectable skins but on the same side and a weapon to go with that skin(little like bfnam), this would work great with albasrah, due to the storyline of an MEC armoured unit pledging alligance to the insurgents.

Rather than MEC working with the insurgents, it would be a lot more interesting and challenging for friendly identification if the insurgents had a map when they were fighting the MEC, which is rather reflective of RL news too.

Interesting idea, blue on blue fest though. Can we get orange thingies on the British vehicles!

...and not Rocket launchers either.

If it was done you would also need to somehow enable all the British equipment to mis-fire, breakdown, have stoppages and generally fall to pieces in the first 5 mins to make it really realistic.

definition of insurgents : people without training who fight agains the invasors because the situation deserved it. they fight because the army of his country is DEATH or is far away of there . they NEVER are goin to fight agains his country of his army . terrorist are other thing

so what do we call the Shiite and Sunni insurgencys that are fighting each other in iraq now? Those are definatly insurgent vs insurgent fights, and they even fight US/Brits too... so they're fighting everybody pretty much.

they are something like religious army , something like chchenian vs rusia or ETA vs spain. we can call him "rebels"

Or we could just rename MEC -> Iran? Then we could have:
PLA + IRAN VS USMC + ROYAL MARINES
