Hi there, im new to the forums, and this is my first post here, so welcome everybody.
My question is about LAG, every server i join has LAG, its not the normal LAG, when i'm the only one expierencing it, but I see everybody LAGGING @ the same time.
when i play normal BF2 or 2142, i dont have LAG.
I normally have a ping of 10 to 20, so its not my connection.
I tried reinstalling, but that didn't help.
And i have a minimum Frame rate of 80 , so its not my system causing this.
Any help maybe, because i cant play 1 normal round of PR 0.5.

Yeah, there's a bit of server lag in 0.5, which will be improved by the upcoming server patch. But it shouldn't be that bad.

PR also seems to be slightly more demanding on your PC than vanilla - turning down a few settings could help.

Whats you spec on your computor? If you have 1Gb ram and textures on high you will experiance such lag.

Yeah, I have quite a bit more lag in PR than in vBF2. PR is a bit of a RAM hog. Just turn down your settings. That should fix it.

If you have a frame rate of 80, then it's likely server related lag.

I find lag incredibly annoying. Excessive lag in multiplayer games is basically a killer for me.

We're working on a server side patch to see if we can address the lag. It also seems as though different servers are behaving differently .. so we're having a bit of difficulty tracking it down.

I've noticed this, my ping can be 30 yet my fps will still be high whilst i'm teleporting everywhere.

Yeah it sucks, I think the best things to turn down are texture and take off AA if you are experiancing lag, there may be other things to turn down/off but I can't remember which are the most important.

Thanxs for the help so far, but i dont think that lowering a few settings will help, My system eats PR 0.5.
Hope they find someting that will fix it, because i love this mod

C2D E6600 @ 3280 mhz
2GB Corsair dominator @ 820 mhz
XFX 8800Gtx
2 x 74GB raptor Raid-0
and the usual stuff.

for now the best idea is to find servers that have the least lag.. ghwest and tg are pretty lag free.

Put all settings all on mid and your anti on 4. This way you should get a good FPS and be able to play wihtout lag most of the time. With me it seems to always lag when i first go into a room but after like 5 minutes it clears up.
