I have issues with the bot AI... But I'd rather put the blame for that on Dice. Perhaps it can be tweaked more for the full release of PR.

If by PR you mean PRMM then you have nothing to worry about. Less than 4 Mb...

The biggest thing is your levels folder, but I believe there is an autoinstaller for that, so they dont have to add the 786mbs just for the levels.

Do we still have to copy our entire bf2 folder? is bf2 not smart enough to use the mod files then use the game files on its own?

I dont get what you mean. It doesnt replace or alter anything in your BF2. You place the folder in the 'mods' folder(the install), it should automatically copy your levels folder from mods/BF2. Most likely there will be a shortcut directly to the mod, or you go into BF2, then Community, Custom Game errr whatever it says, then you activate PRMM. I hope that answered your question.

1. No.
2. Yes and no. BF2 is smart enough to use the mod files first, except for maps. There very well may be a way to use only modded versions of maps, but we haven't found it yet.

Eventually, when the community has released enough maps, we might be able to dispense with copying the original BF2 levels folder.
But for now we're basically stuck with the levels Dice has dreamed up for BF2 hence the need to copy those levels to the PRMM mod folder. As to why mods can't use the levels WHERE they are.... My guess is Dice didn't see the need for allowing mods to link to the original maps... Just a wild hairy guess

lol
