Q1) If i kill someone and start to die, can i pick up their kit, drop their field dressing, pick my kit back up and use their dressing pack while saving mine ?
I think i tried it and it didnt work.
Q2) if i get hit one time - without "bleeding out" but just hit. Can i still use the dressing pack to get my health back to 100 percent before i start to "bleed" ?
Thanks !

The field dressing stops bleeding and does a small amount of healing.
Also, it doesnt work 90% of the time. Even when on the flat ground. They never work on top of buildings, they fall right through.

I always forget to apply mine. :/
Then I bleed for like 5 minutes, just awaiting my impending death. My character starts off groaning & moaning, then that cool looking blur effect happens for like 3 minutes & I die. haha

I think they work rather well if you:
1. Go crouch or prone.
2. Stand still. DO NOT MOVE!
3. Drop pack on ground/roof/other_solid_object and wait WITHOUT MOVING AROUND.
(4. If you have an ammopack, drop one and get a new dressing if time permits)

Actually there is something wrong with them, but they generally work fine for me .
They heal about 20hp (soldiers have 100). Yes pilfering them from the enemy is an option.. I do it all the time.

I also nick field dressings from dead soldiers.
dont get shot then trust your field dressing to heal you much, I just see it as keeping you alive long enough to find a medic...or another kit/kits with more field dressings.

I rarely have a problem with them, but everybody I squad with seems to.

problem I find with them is when you are shot to coughing stage (or even just the AArgh! and heavy heart beat left a bit long) then use a field dressing it doesnt do much at all.

If you hop on top of them they fall thru stuff, so put it in front of you wait 1.5 seconds and then find a medic/medkit

I've always wondered... do you bleed because you are low on health or bleed because you have been shot?
what I'm getting at is it possible that the bandage does not heal enough to stop the bleeding? I swear that its happened to me.
I get confused because people say bandages stop bleeding... but they don't always even when they work, or that is what it seems like.

You bleed when you are badly hurt (on low health), not simply shot since you could fall off a building or be run over by a tank, etc. One bandage will not be enough to heal you if you are REALY badly hurt, it once took me no less than 4 bandages to get out of bleeding to death, and they all worked too (no failures). I left a loooong trail of blood let me tell you.
However given that they do have deployment problems why not have them as a hand hold item? In theory you can drop them on the gound for your team mates but in practice this is generaly done only on nights of a blood red moon when the kraken has risen from the depths to walk the earth (read realy realy rarely)

I threw mine down a hill once, I had to run after it.
