Just an idea for the future....Project Alternate Reality?

Hey PR guys great, great, great work.....here is a little tiny idea for the future..and all those wanting battles in the US or else where...
How hard would it be to release a little map pack/mini mod of your mod called "Project Alternate Reality" that would have the same forces, weapons, vehicles and such but by calling it "Alternate" Reality you can throw out a few maps located in England, the US or anywhere else really you want? Maybe even have a map contest and pick 5-8 and release those?
I know everyone is always wanting maps in the US and other places and a little title change to play around and have fun with might be a work around for all the die-hard "Thats not teh Realistic the insurgents would never invade US soils..!!!!!"
Let us not forget the movie "Red Dawn" where through the power of Patrick Swayze we were able to hold our own against the Psuedo Cuban terrorists that invaded.
Instead of asking "Why?" ask "Why not?"
Just an idea...........

Why not have a statics contest with it then

They've said a couple of times they'd be happy if someone would make statics.

You know, a static contest would be more realistic and useful than a map contest. Cuz non PR gamers could enter it.

Statics are the buildings and crates and whatever else you see on the ground, is that correct ?
These objects seem like they would be easier to model than a weapon that is moving around in animations.
This is something that could be done with the free download Gmaz something program ?

Yeah, but the Chinese are communists, so therefore Red.

Yes, but the Cubans used fake commercial/passenger planes to parachute into the heartland and capture cities.

Making statics is a bit different to other ingame models I think maybe, particularly the uv method (this is how you wrap a 2d texture over a 3d object.)
I have a sneaking suspicion it's not so easy to do in max as it is in maya for static objects. I use maya whereas most modders use max, hence why there are maybe not many new complex statics but plenty of vehicles and guns (which are likely uv'd more traditionally).
So long as we can get the process right (maya to game) I will be building some more statics of differing flavours for use on the bf2 engine/pr/mods, unfortunately it takes time.
You could all speed up that process by forcing the devs to use maya instead of max, gunpoint should do it
