how do you prefer to use VOIP?

I might be alone here, but for some reason this annoys me to no end. That is, when you are playing in a squad with VOIP and people are talking like they're smoking pot, half asleep, or both. I'm aware that's a condition a lot of BF2 players may find themselves in, but I still wish people would be a bit more spirit during battle when using VOIP. It totally kills the mood when people are saying things like "*Yawn* Hey dude...uh...like, enemies to the West and *yawn* stuff...............[they finally release their finger on the VOIP key after about a minute]" while bullets are wizzing by my head.
Now, I don't go as far as role-playing in Project Reality (you know, screaming about Allah when you are the Insurgents or anything like that), but there's usually a sense of desperation in my tone. Even so, I wouldn't mind role-playing, as long as people didn't yell blood curdling screams into their mic every time they died.
I'd like to hear your oppinions, though. Is the way people speak on VOIP an issue for you, and if so, what kind of communication style do you like the most?

i honestly cant say... i suppose it depends what mood im in, if im relaxed i dont really care how relaxed others are its ok, sometimes when i want to win (the team to win not come 1st) i get a little annoyed but then its only for 1 round...

I always run my mouth off on VOIP, I don't care, if someone has a problem with it they can tell me to stfu or kick me out of their squad.

I have no sound so i dont speak on VoIp, or hear anyone on it.
But when i do i usually speak, casually, with my british acccent
(apparently i sound like a North London Rapist! lol)

i usually yell a whole lot and lots of swearing lol
i agree im not a big fan of people who are extremely casual, like for example, your in an APC column and a VBIED is coming right behind you, and theyre like 'yea, i think i see a car and its coming behind us' **BOOOOOOOOM** *2 APC are smoldering wrecks*
'why didnt you say anything sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
'oh i dunno'
lol

Well, I'm happy to see people share my views. I have a feeling if I posted this on a Vanilla BF2 forum a lot of posts would just be "it a gaem who cares OMGWTFLOL!". Now if only I could find you guys on those servers...
EDIT: I'll admit, sometimes role-playing can go to far, like when people need a realistic way to communicate certain inconvience:
Squad member 1: "The enemy has some kind of secret weapon, they're disrupting the flow of time!"
Squad member 2: "What?"
Squad member 1: "Time is flowing in irregular patterns, the world is become stagnant for prolonged periods, and its hindering my ability to fight effectively!"
Squad member 2: "....what?"
Squad member 3: "He's saying he's lagging."
Squad member 1: "Oh"
Sometimes a "realistic" explaination for problem you're encountering is just so stupid its better to admit you're playing a game, even if role-playing is fun.

it all depends, but i dont wana bunch of weirdos making dieing sounds when they get shot because i would give them hell for doing such a ridiculous thing.
but if spot a sniper or something and then shoot him in the chest with a shotty slug and he doesnt die i will get pretty irate and shout a profanity or 2. then usually whoever says something next over voip, if it is stupid enough, i wll give them shit for it sense i am wrathful at that time.
and how do you play without sound!!!!!!!!! thats 3/4 of the game! you must be running some extremely ghettoooooo *** rig

I don't know if I come across as casual, but I do have senses of urgency, it's not like I don't care about what I'm playing. I've never met anyone that says things like "Yeah man, there's a squad in that place to my left *turns around randomly*."

I guess my policy in general is to type out of character chatter (chatter that refers to the battlefield as part of a game, things about lag and spawn points and such) and say everything else on VOIP (unless the whole team needs to hear it).
that's part of the fun IMHO hehehehe
I agree. I sometimes get mildly freaked out when I start bleeding because the game does such a good job of conveying the experience of slow death by blood loss. I don't scream into VOIP "HELLLLP! I'M BLEEDING! SAVE ME JESUS/ALLAH/BUDDHA/MODERN MEDICINE! I HAVE A FAMILY!", but I like to say something like "I'm bleeding over here! I need a medic NOW!"

I usually have a sense of urgency in my voice when playing PR, but I dont go in for the whole ultra realism thing.

I think it's weird how people download this mod and don't even know what overwatch means, for instance. I wouldn't expect EVERYONE to know every single military term from all the FMs but the amount of people who don't know basic combat related terms is kinda dissapointing.
Sometimes I can actually watch people hesitate if I ask them to "provide overwatch at the next corner" or "hold cover here." Their little soldier character will look up down left and right while their brains try to decipher the meaning of my command.
Or if you really want to throw people for a curve try to orient enemy positions in relation to the compass. You know... "enemy approaching from the north-west!"
"where?"
"north-west!"
"where's that?"
"probably north-west you mother fucker"
And then others don't want to actually obey commands they just want a guy they can spawn off of. The joys of online gaming.

Even better is:
AHHH! IM ON FIRE!! SAVE ME BABY JESUS! SAVE MY TOM CRUSE! USE YOUR WITCHCRAFT! HELP ME OPRA WINFRY!

It's funny.. I talk a lot in PR VOIP. But I hate it when people talk in CSS, probably because it's usualy a 12 kid with a high voice or a 46 year old guy who is taking the game way too seriously.

I love the polls. They always show such recognizeable statistical forms. Here we have a nerd-skewed standard bell curve.

Mainly, I'd like to see a bit of teamwork, not too much "Role-playing" but teamwork. Such as noting enemies, and communicating. Excitement is alright, but nothing like... retarded. Am I contradicting myself?
Also, speaking clearly or atleast loud enough would be something nice too. *shrug*
Guess I should've checked the option that said "some enthusiasm"

I don't know.
I had one guy in my squad in Al Basrah, Rapaski was his name I think. The guy was HILARIOUS and a good co-op player.
Just casual jokes here and there.
