Well, i have noticed that every server i go on, the Marksman kit is all taken up. Even if it's four, still all gone. Does anyone know a server where i could find a open marksman kit? I like custom guns so don't call me a whiner D:.

what do you mean? there are no servers that reserve marksman kits.

the problem is that a lot of the new players who want to
get good kill ratios irrespective of teamwork tend to request
anything vaguely resembling a sniper weapon.
- they try to camp it and survive but generally - if you look
at their k/d ratio they are **** because they can't actually
use the weapons... in busy maps, all marksman and sniper kits are gone real
fast and more often than not the twats with them have no idea
what they are doing

if you want practise with the M14 run a SP map, or alternatively just follow
one of these idiots with the marksman kit and wait for them to die...
it shouldn't take long.

easiest way to get one is to kill youself a marksman and take his gun
dont waste your time worrying about trying out the request guns, just find a standard kit you enjoy and use that, If you happen to pass a rally point just check every now and then. Usually at the start of rounds is a bad time, try checking TAB for lots of players greyed out meaning they are waiting to respawn, odds on one of them was a sniper/marksman.

today on devfile i literally couldent request anything either all 4 SAWs, GONE! all 2 snipers and 50 cal. sniper, GONE! all DM (marksmen) kits, GONE!

i was so sad i couldent help out my squad with any of my specialities

I've found that now, and also in previous versions that the AT kit is never taken. If you have an ammo guy with you that thing is better than any sniper. Instant kill on infantry and most vehicles as well

Yes... it's cheap, but effective....

if you practice hard enough on the M-14 you get good at it, heres a round I had, M-14 the whole day.

I have had the M-14 3 times, twice is tole it from an enemy when i killed em

First time I got the M-14, I was cut off from friendly forces and managed to go 13-0 before having to leave.

The topic isn't about your k/d ratio with the m-14.

Theres no server where you're guaranteed an m-14, unless the server is set for unlimited requested kits. Just keep trying to get it.

M14 really is an insanely good gun.

I love it myself. I hate the sniper kits, but the USMC marksman kit, is just amazing.

What kind of response were you expecting people to give you? Were you hoping someone would toss you an IP and say "come quick! The DMR's free!"?

Or were you expecting a server admin to say "oh, come over to my server and I'll kick whoever has the DMR so that you can get it"?

Just curious is all.

DM and Sniper are the kits i play best with, but if i get killed within 5 mins i'll just leave the kit for a moment in the hope someone else will do a better job with it.. To bad most of the time the next thing you'll see is a noob running forward like hell thinking he is invincible with his kit... If my SL doesnt give me a task to do, i'll just grab DM /Sniper, otherwise i'll just be pointman, no use in a dead SL..

Track the OPFOR sniper, take him out, and get HIS gun! It´s hard but worth the wait..the hunt..

With the M14 you should get atleast 60 kills and top 3 deaths to be good, with normal sniper its different

Great gun, trying to use it at long range is a pain, medium is best for it.

My advice is to get the kit that your squadleader TELLS you to get.

I would kick you from my squad in a heartbeat if all you did was grab the sniper kit everytime.

Be a rifleman for ammo and follow a sniper around until he is killed, throw down ammo, grab his kit and reload. You never know, he might be good and you supplying him with ammo could potentially help your side by providing fire that prevents the enemy covering certain open spaces which is advantageous to your team
