'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']it [the Huey] is something we plan to add for the USMC.
edit: actually that is an "N" .. the Y has 4 rotors.
In commemoration, we should all watch this scene from We Were Soldiers Once, and Young.

lol probably the least biased film of the vietnam war, Ia Drang was a massive victory for the US at the beginning of the war because the NVA fought conventionally.

Personally, Im going to miss the black hawk. While I understand that currently the marines use the UH-1Y which is a new varient, I think that considering that PR is set a little in the future, hueys seem just a tad bit outdated. Of course this is based almost soley on the fact that theyve served their purpose since vietnam till modern day. Just seems like black hawks fit the part better.

I think the Huey will replace the little bird in PR, not sure though.

yes but watch the clip, i saw 1 us soldier killed and it looked like another took 1 in his knee. This only came about because some vietnamese soldier shot them while they were slwoly advancing on him to take him prisoner. meanwhile you see the vietnamese being slaughtered on a mass scale. Personally i see that as pretty biased.

Nooooo! Don't replace the LB! I love the littlebird, it's the blackhawk I hate - replace that sure.

Don't replace anything, just use them in different places.

As long as the Huey can take a beating. I hate mods (and vanilla BF2) where the choppers are made of toothpicks. If you bring them down too hard then they explode. The Huey was designed to be treated roughly. She's like the drunk girl at the party where everyone has a go (I like to compare helicopters to women). Especially when you're being shot at from every direction, you're not going to set up a nice little approach, bring it down slowly and a nice little soft landing. You're going to come in pretty dame fast, add a little throttle just before touch down, land on the rear part of the skids, and slid it down.

Lol yea, just how the LB can be tipped on it's side without any damage taken.

Now dont you dare to do that, at least make an open beta first and check out if the change is good thing.

The little bird is really only used by special operations.

Well, anytime the NVA or VC actually did stay and fight the Americans in a conventional battle, they did suffer much greater casualties than the Americans. Americans had much better support to keep them supplied with ammo, and vastly superior artillery and air support.
Reality is pretty biased in general, you rarely get a fair fight.

Yeah they are not "general" stuff in the fields as long as I know it too but please, before making an ultimate choice between them if that is what to come have an open beta and see what people think about Huey, cant say much to another for those when I have only got to use the LB.

As it is speculated that the future of PR, the not so MM anymore, is going to have more than one US faction, that being the devision between the US army and the USMC, i think it unwise to remove the LB because it can be realisticly be used elsewhere.
I aint no expert, but all i gonna say iz i neva saw no UH1-Bell in in BHdown

what is more fequently used where?
...mongol...

A very cool scene, but that bayonet charge never happend.
Also, the film misses out the actions of the 2nd battalion (I'm not being funny, but missing out a whole battalion is just off) and thier retreat to LZ Albany during which they suffered heavy casualites from a PAVN ambush with more than 150 soldiers KIA.

Well, Ia Drang was a slaughter.
