The game keep crashing, I've tried everything but it crash to desktop randomly and for apparently no reasons, It started since .5 and it seem to be worse since 0.509... I lowered all my settings to low and it still crash... I've tried to close all background application (even explorer.exe) and I keep crashing, anyone know why ?

I get same thing, was flying a full LB last night on Jabal when out of the blue I crash to desktop, and so did the guys in the LB im guessing lol.

I get crashes in PR as well. Every single time. Not to desktop but a total system crash that require a hard reset to recover from. I've checked the event log in XP and it shows no error that might have caused the crash. I've recently cleaned out my system and added a 300mm fan to improve cooling (wich it did indeed) and my GPU is running below 50 degrees Celsius under load, but still I get crashes. Sometimes the crashes comes relatively soon after I've joined a server, sometimes I can play several maps before crashing so I find it very difficult to pinopint any direct cause to the problem.

Any hints?

Same problem... CTD in certain parts of certain maps
it might be too much grass, water effects, complex sounds or just plain bugged. I dont know. thought I was the only one with this problem

you know it used to happen to me as well...

i tend to think that is is just general corruption of the game files somewhere...for any of you that have added/modded anything this should be a sign that you need a complete full clean reinstall...

i dont think it has to do with anything else....perhaps video card issues but the reasons seem to be random in my experience...

recently i have been instantly lagged when entering an APC on albasrah...why ?? damned if i know but its instant....1000% happens...

of course background programs is a possibility and spyware interuppting processes could also be guilty...full clean install... its a ***** but it might fix it...i always keep all the bf2 updates on the HD anyway..for just this reason...

Full uninstall of BF2 and PRM and then re-install?

I take it the re-install order would be install BF2 > patch to 1.41 > install PRM?

I removed and reinstalled PRM without any change.

Disabling AVG and Zone Alarm spyware monitors before firing up PRM works though and I've now had 5 hours worth of PRM at max detail without a hitch.

Yeah I have this from time to time, as well as these mysterious "Vectors" (as I call them) that draw a tapered line from an object to some point on the edge of my screen. XFX doesn't know what it is so I figure I'm screwed on that.

Downloaded the mod yesterday, decided to have a bit of a go on the singleplayer first to get used to the changes, so i dont run around like a noob. I have game crashes everytime a map finishes loading, the only map i could get to load was the compton one.

pentium d 3.4
2gb ram
GeForce 7600gs 512mb

My game keeps crashing as soon as I load a map as well. The only map I've been able to play was the Airport. But every other map in the game, the second it finishes loading, the game crashes to desktop.

Specs:
AMD 3000+
1gig RAM
ATI X800 265mb

Try to change your game settings to medium...

ive had a similar problem, i can only run my own game on the compton and one airport map, it will load but once i press join it crashes straight to desktop. Battlefield 2 and all other games have no problem, I've tried all settings but still to no avail. any help will be appreciated


(specs are AMD X2 64 4800+, 2 gig DDR2, nvidia 7900GTO 512, asus m2n-e)

Unfortunatly, That didn't fix my problem. May have even made it worse. Would you think, maybe, that getting the files from Fileplanet might be the problem?

yeh i tried reinstalling too, and it is still the same, although, i can run any new map i download from this site

Ok, is this maybe related to a video driver???

I was running Nvidia 9371's and had this same problem, and then I installed the 9381 beta drivers and I am having the same problems. I wonder if an earlier set of drivers would take care of this problem

That happened to me too!
And the weird thing, when I was gunning it, had no lag at all, only while driving.

This happens to me every time I try singleplayer.. you may want to try hosting a Lan server to do some singleplayer because I don't think I tried to get it working.. you can also go on the {GD} Practice Server.. The Ghost Dogs always have their practice server up. its got relaxed settings and passworded.. You have to go to their forums to get the information.

Are you by any chance talking about single player?
If so then that is your problem as only Compton and Airport support SP I think.
