Very interesting article over at
http://www.Battlefield-1942.nl . Chech tje following quote, maybe not the most realistic, but definately a step towards increased teamwork on a commercial level:
"Need more incentive to stick together? How about the vehicle bonuses that classes bring to select vehicles? Once your squad's medic jumps in a jeep, for example, a bright red-cross decal is slapped on the door as it becomes a roving medical vehicle with a healing radius. It gets better—these effects stack, so you can drop a heavy infantryman in the same jeep for extra armor and a sniper for a nice little just-because speed boost."
Here is the rest.

Thanks for finding this article Req.!! Ugh, bugger...
30 land, sea, and air vehicles in the finished game. big naval vessels (like destroyers) have been eliminated from the game. However, the inclusion of fast, vicious patrol boats and the like should more than make up for it.
So no large navy....
medics get points for healing comrades and pilots get points for kills made by their passengers. The infantryman who paints a target with a laser for a guided missile, as well as the pilot launching the missile, will get credit for the eventual kill.
Totally given to Trauma Studios by the Desert Combat Community. Well at least, in the end they did listen to their fan base's requests.
Its input so far has led to the medic's lethal and lifesaving defibrillator, as well as rappelling lines that drop from helicopters to both deploy and rescue soldiers. Currently, up to 10 combatants can hang from a line—and they can shoot while they're there. Trauma has more tricks up its sleeve, but this is the one we really hope makes the cut. Don't you want to see 10 rope-hanging monkey killers raining death from above as they sweep through city streets?
Oooh, I can't wait!

Oh joy! I cant wait to fly right over the top of a building with those 10 guys hanging on for dear life... OMG its going to be fun. On a more serious note, the idea of vehicles changing as people get in them IMO is retarded and silly. However may very well help with making medics necasary for medical vehicles. The "medical" vehicles will already have crosses on them, and be unarmed, but will only be able to heal when the medic is inside(not the drivers seat) but aside from the healing abilities given nothing will change. They would also most likely have a much greater healing capability than your standard first aid kit.

Precisely. Actually, the medivac vehicles would be used specifically for medivac purposes. We might even make a little bonus for safely getting your man back to base or to a safe location so that you can "revive" him, and penalties for shooting medivac vehicles. Small ones, of course.

I dunno about penalties for shooting them, someone could then easily use one for cover, and youd be punished if you shot at them and missed.

Those are the "magic HMMWVs." We should remove them as soon as we can.

Firing your weapon in the middle of a fast rope insertion? We will definitely be removing that one.

Good, I can only imagine one of the M249 toting infantry shooting me with a SMAW when he realises my plot to kill them all by slamming them into a wall.

Well, considering how you can stop in the middle of a fast rope indertion, hold on with only your feet, shoulder your weapon, then fire it without losing your balance the whole time, I'm sure that they'll simply be fixed to the rope.

what if the pilot starts to do crazy spirals flips
