Im just curious if the devs have any plans on altering the game for smaller competitions -- 5v5 infantry combat and such. like getting smaller maps so that its not just musical flags. would anyone be interested in that? i remember in DC i played some great 5v5 games that were heavily based on teamwork. are we going to see that in PR??

That would probably be a bit too difficult to do. I mean most servers are above 32 players, so they could never put 5v5 maps in their rotation.

Good idea, but I don't know if it would work.

yeah, thats why im curious. i think limiting the competitive nature of this game to 8v8's or 12v12's would be a mistake, especially since the infantry aspect is SO good. as of now, the maps are a bit too big for 5v5.

16p maps will be tweaked to be optomised for 6v6 play.

Bludshot has been helping us with that, eventually we'll get all 16p maps tweaked for it.

that is great news, and very smart of you guys. 6v6 will definitely be the coolest thing ever. i was thinking myself that 2 fireteams of 3 would be much better than 2 and 3.

Yeah, if you are in a clan check our http://prl.clanpit.com we run a 6v6 ladder.

woah! i didnt even know there were any pr leagues yet. hoc is definitely in! i will try to get other clans in as well.

It's been running for about 6 months or something.

It's on rest right now, because of some of the issues in 0.5 which are mostly solved now. And now we're moving to a new web host in the next couple days, so I'm hoping to have the ladder back on again next week.

There is also a clan-wide scrimmage that is going to occur on April 1st. Right now its only open to members of clans but there will be a scheduled date where non-clan members ("free agents") will be able to create a squad to join.
