when you use slugs (the #2 weapon for engineers), he only fires one bullet that is consistantly below the crosshair. since he is holding a shotgun and a single bullet comes out, I'm guessing this wasn't intentional.

I think that was his main point. I haven't noticed that though...

wierd, I took a hunter's education course and it went over the various types of rifles and shotguns and one of the things it covered was the type of shotgun amunition and how it changes over a distance. I swear it made a slug comparison but maybe I just thought the object was slugs when its really a different kind of ammo.
As for being below the crosshair, right click to zoom in, aim at a wall thats near by, and you'll see a single bullet hole below where you aimed. At least I did.

There is a different glitch with the slugs. The devs didn't make slugs for the unlockable shotguns, though it doesn't reall matter for a MM.

Are ballistics implemented? Slugs don't have the best ballistic trajectories.

I'm still confused on this issue, I've never heard of "slugs" being a "single slug". It sorta makes me think of hte old days when guns shot big round balls.
As far as ballistics, I've sniped a guy with a slug before and killed him in one shot, so it seems to go pretty straight.
Also, as far as the bug goes, I realized that the camera doesnt reset after shooting, so the crosshair is always above where you originally aimed. I guess my eyes were playing tricks on me.

There's various kinds of shot. Ranging from standard 00 buck to birdshot and anything in between. Then there's slugs which are capable (f close enough) going through engine blocks). There's a;so a a SLAP saboted light armor penetrating round developed for military use. Slugs aren't a bib round musket ball. They're really a cylindrical object cable of achieving accuracy better than a regular load using shot.
