I was looking up some PR and BF2 movies when I came across this
http://youtube.com/watch?v=_9__YyOmLe4 it was done on the Desert Combat mod for BF:1942 and I was wondering if it's possible to do the same on PR with the BF2 engien or has the standard droped (becase of Dice and Ea)
Well post you thoughts

doubtful... i dont think you can have one object on top of another moving object
that video makes me want to install my old bf1942 and get DC again... are there any servers still?

ehhh, not in BF2 hehe.
in bf2 if a object comes into contact with anouther object, they go crazy and will blow each other up espicaly if they are both moving

DC was pretty sweet, DCX was about 10x sweeter and EoD was about 10x sweeter then both of those combined.

Hows about this. I don't know whats possible with the python server-side scripting, but here goes.
You drive your vehicles into the aircraft. When the hatch closes, the server deletes the loaded vehicles and replaces the regular plane with a identical model but with jeeps inside (all one object).
When the plane comes to a stop after landing, the reverse happens and the cars spawn inside the plane.
Is something along those lines doable?
Or maybe just drive em up and repeatedly set vehicleObject.setDamage(0) - let em bounce all they want!

- The typical way in Israel to get things or jobs. By a deal or connections.
- Doing something in an irregular way using workarounds.

syk got a good idea
Seems like that problem was with with 1942 as well
In the BF1942 modding community it was long thought that this would be impossible. One mod had tried and the vehicles ended up blowing up inside the cargo bay of their CH-47 Chinook because it took too much damage from the collisions with the Chinook's walls. The secret to successful air transport lies with the material manager. The inner walls of the C-130 used a different material than the outside and this material was specially coded so collisions with vehicles, like the HUMVEE, wouldn't cause any damage to either vehicle. Monkeyphonics and I worked many nights to figure this out.

Maybe eventually with the growing community we will find an individual who is a computer genius and will code PR and fix the problems with the BF2 engine and EA will go out of business and the PR team will take over the BF series instead of the scamming a**Holes and the former glory of the BF series will be restored.
I wish
