Iv had this discussion several times with the likes of BrokenArrow, Solodude and so on but id like to see what the majority of the community thinks and with the big boom of new people due to the MM release i figure what better time than now?

So heres my question, what would people like to see this mod centered more on? since the Devs to this point still havent released a decision on the storyline or even the timeline i figure this may help them a little determine the communities wishes.

Plain and simple would you guys like the story line to be based on the real life conflicts IE Iraq/Afghan? or would you like to see a more ficticious orriented storyline that uses North Korea and/or China and whoever the hell else we could include?

I for one feel this is a realism mod so why not go with Iraq Afghan? Some want more jungle Asian type enviroments, some just want to have all those countries.

The thing i think alot of people are overlooking is the fact that PR has the Best chance to fill a huge nitch if they do take gravitate to a Iraq/Afghan storyline, they could basically become a more up to date DC, iv only seen a few other mods gearing towards the current day conflicts in Iraq/Afghan on is a all CTF baised gameplay and the other is basically trying to make BF2 into AA, i definetly think that this mod could do really well selling itself as a mod baised on the real world battlefields and conflicts.


well that my opinion i invite everyone new and old to vote im very curious to see the majority opinion

i think youd have to give the Iraq/Afghans the top of the line Russian stuff, i wasnt talking so much kits or equipment as, enviroment and theme

basically id rather play a more desert oriented modernised version of DC than a modernised jungle version of BFV

Im for the real conflict, its just give you more realistic feeling to play in a conflict which did really happen or is happening.

But yeah it could be a problem with balancing the teams...maybe add a class of suicide bombers..if that aint too contoroversial.

as long as its proper jungle and not just a wood then id like to see jungle maps, but theres no way that there wont be desert maps in PR

Semi made-up conflict set in the near future. Something like Coalition forces(USA, UK etc.) invading North Korea and/or Iran to make them stop their nuclear program. And please: Lots of city maps.

Exctaly as me, urab warfare is awesome and desert also!

And i also like jungle maps....but these in bf2 not very much...i would like to see, plain jungle maps, whole map in a jungle.

I guess PR can go for a realistic near future conflict (think splinter cell 3 story line with MEC thrown in to happen right before/after the conflict with NK)

I think the story and setting should be like vanilla BF2, just a made up conflict with current weapons.

BF2 has no storyline though....


and there isn't a realistic way to have a war agains MEC and China/NK at the same time, We would lose....

they almost have to be at seperate times, like 2 or 3 years apart. a good story could link the wars together, and it would make sense.

As said you cannot go for confilcts happening today unles you want a force that has every vehicle possible and another force that has the ability to hide in small cracks in the earth.

I would like too see that too. But i can guess which side the majority of players wil want to be on.

i say we could do both, i hate to see jungle warfare erased but would also like to see realistic maps from real events like iraq and afghanistan and perhaps somalia since that would be a great map for either objectives or an all out firefight.
