Is there anyway the medpaks can work without being thrown on the ground, it's like half of the time they just vanish into the ground anyways. How about making it once you activate the pak, you have to be still for 5-10 seconds while you are applying it. Would make the realism bit real being that you can not fire your weapon or run for cover while patching yourself up.

He is talking about the field dressing.
@phwanc: Try not to step on the field dressing after you threw it, it should work then.

Why not make it work like a wrench? Healing yourself.

Only problem is that you can't give it to anyone else.

Maybe make it that when you left click it heal you and when you right click you trow it on the ground/heal your target...

I think it should throw a little further, so I can hit people in the face.

I think I remember from the America's Army Medic tutorial, that every soldier has his own field dressing that a medic uses to fix him up, so I don't see the point in throwing it on the ground and stuff.

errr, in AA the medic uses his own dressings and only got 3. the medic tutorial is simple propaganda

Oh, oops. I'd do it again to see but then I'd have to download the whole bleeding 2+ GB of the thing I almost scored max grades on that tutorial
Well then I guess that means the Medics should be the only ones with field dressings.
