Will the crashes and disconnects be fixed?

Finally got frustrated enough to post after I keep either crashing or disconnecting at least one time during play time. So in .4 I never crashed or got disconnected, in .5 I started getting disconnected only on some maps because of "memory leaks?" and in .509 server patch I am crashing to desktop more frequently even though I didn't before - and I still get disconnected from maps like Basrah, Greasy mullet, with a good bit more map lag than before.

I hope this stuff gets fixed, it's not my system because I keep it up to speed and I defrag about every week.

hopefully... it seems like this is happening MUCH more on ABR servers than non ABR servers. And we know that ABR recently did a server move and ran into some problems. So we are certainly going to do our best to resolve the issues. Right now we don't know of anything *we* are doing that can be causing this and can't reliably reproduce it. Yet we do know that ABR is having troubles and non ABR servers are experiencing fewer difficulties.

Is there any way you can optimize the maps more? I notice on 64 basrah there are huge chunks in the map where no one every goes, NE corner of the map for instance. And then I am not even sure why I get disconnected on Greasy Mullet - too much unneeded foliage? I'm not a mapper though so I don't know what excesses of cause map lag.

The ABR difficulties that egg explained to you (such as disconnects) are ABR-related. Regarding the maps, things that get noticed that can be optimized will be worked on.

By the way it might help to notice that the only maps I get locked up and disconnected from are the ones that have jets and a-10 on it - Basrah/Greasy Mullet.

It could also just be that they are really massive, or it could be the planes, who knows.

EDIT: I also crash on regular maps like Mao Valley and Jabal al Burj, usually at random times, nothing specific triggers the crashes. It's really getting to me. Server didn't have ABR on either.
