GET INVOLVED - Health bars?

While we are trying to look at another way of implementing the health indicator (ex a color shading icon indicating health green > yellow > red or something like that) should we leave out the health bar as is? Assume that it can't be tweaked and that either we have the health bar as in bf2 or none at all.
Note: Since weapon damage was increased, you can pretty much bet that if you survived the first shot, the next shot will kill you and that you should seek medical attention immediately. Also, when you're at about 40% of your health, you begin to 'bleed' which is indicated by the red hit indicators and the grunting/ouch sounds every second or so.
Note: However this poll turns out, please be advised that we may not go with what the majority is.

agreed. and i see no need for health meter at all. so many other interesting ways you can indicate health...the bleeding works well right now.
before PRMM, i played on a server with some sort of weapon damage increase--the WYD servers. the bullet damage is similiar to PR but they include the health bar and i can honestly say i never look at it...better (and more FUN) to focus on the game and what my squad needs from me. if i let an enemy scope me before i do him? -- then its my bad, and im 99% probably dead anyways.
i view health bars as just screen clutter.

Also note that this is refering to soldier health bars.

I think the soldier health is best unseen. I even think we don't need a ghost recon style color coded health idicator, it works fine as is.

If you take a hit, you should know to keep your head down and scream for a medic...no need for a health bar IMO

if you cant set it up with the green yellow red type deal why not make it like the battery status on a handheld device sounds stupid but basically just chop the heal bar up into thirds itd be more or less the same thing as green yellow red just not color coded

I'd like a more basic health bar like solo for PRMM, but the polls say 70% of peeps dont agree with me.... o well.

Simple answer from me. IN reality would you know how much juice you got left. Its called pain and it cannot be duplicated in games so an indication to your damage is required.

unless we attach electrodes to ourselves...
wait, bad idea.

Borderline is by leaving it out for now you destroy part of the game.Unles they are supersoldiers pumped up on crack so they dont feel the pain?
Just like taking crosshairs off support guns in vehicles and not replacing them with iron sights.
You cannot take and not give for either of them. If you take them out then you replace them with a better alternative, if you dont have to alternative then you dont take them out.

well, the no iron sights for 50 cals isnt a very good analogy, as, to my knowledge, the gunners in iraq right now dont use the sights... they just shoot, as they have enough experience to know where the rounds will go, and the gigantic dust cloud made from each impact helps a bit.

Until I can look down at my chest and see the blood pouring out.....KEEP THE DAMN HEALTH BAR!
I know you want reality but this is a video game! Because it is a video game, we don't have all of our senses. We need tools in our video game that replicate or replace our real life senses.

Gump, you don't need the health bar to tell you that one more shot will kill you. There are already red markers on the screen and shaking to tell you you've been hit, and with the current damage, you don't need a health bar to know the next hit will probably kill you.

I think your wrong. like solo said you cant tell if you get shot in the leg by a pistol or if you just took an AK round to the chest. In reality you will know how bad the damage is. A thing we have called PAIN.
As for soldiers not aiming... where did you get your knowledge from? because no shooter can accuratly kill with any gun without aiming if its not in there face. Mabe your knowledge was showing you images of soldiers laying down covering fire.
Personally if i was in the heat and i had a clear shot i would not guess and wait until i can see dust splashes bounce around next to him. youd simply look down the sights and bang.
