Grenades for SF

The SF kit with its M4, which is perfect since .5, and pistol is a good combat force. I love running a head of the squad killing enemies that might attack my squad. The only thing I'm really missing are the grenades. For example: You know there are at least 2 enemy troops in that bunker, you then really miss those grenades. IRL most SF operators have grenades with them. Maybe loose a smoke grenade for 2 frags.
BTW can't wait for .6, how long until the release, 1,2 months?
PS If I'm correct this is the first post regarding this if not feel free to delete it.

No way. You shouldn't be using the SF kit to run around and pwn. Even if you can justify it as teamwork. It's for special operations. In other words, mostly demolitions. It's not for just being the uber-leet combat kit with little squad support value.

I agree. As for the nades for the SF kit, Let me think.......
F*CK NO! The class is overused as it is. It's ok as it is.

It is not overused at all. If you are on a 64 man server on the USMC, then you may have 2-5 special opps. If you are on a 64 man server on any team but USMC, then you may have 1-3 special opps. This is depending on the map, but I find special forces kinda underused now.

maybe on mec, but on usmc everyone is crazy about spec ops. i always go medic and then wonder why no one wants to pick up my kit to revive me after i revived them... oh yeah, theyre all spec ops and wont give up their kit.

I never fooled much with Spec Ops in PR -- I'll have to give them a whirl.

Nah, they are just too selfish. Unless they are in my squad and I ask them over VOIP, no one ever takes my kit and tries to revive me.

Maybe we can stop suggesting things that we used to have, but were changed for balance purposes. Its not going to get changed back.

we removed the nades from the kit so that kit would have to rely on his squad for that kidna support, you should be working with them as a team and not running off ahead.
then for exsample you can say over VOIP "grendier, there is a buch of guys in that bunker shuve a nade in it" and boom, thats teamwork

Smoke nades were put there so you would work with your squad. This way, he now isnt this crazy UBER assault class but does work nicely as a point man, NOT a lone wolf. Just because you mean VOIP dont mean you cant be a lone wolf

I agree. And I always have at least 2 idiots who go spec ops on my squad and I have to tell them to switch because it doesn't help out the squad whatsoever. They just want the uber gun.

Personally, I would like to see every class have at least one frag grenade. It's frustrating when the only ones that do are Rifleman and Rifleman AP (which no ones plays anyway), unless you get the officer kit. I usually play as grenadier and a lot of time things get to close or there is someone on a roof and the 203 can't be used. I also used to love playing as medic, but now it is not a very fun kit to play IMO(don't see as many meds in general anymore either). People go down easily and it takes a long time to heal them up, and you only get 4 mags for your rifle. And finding someone to get ammo from is near impossible, I've shouted at guys in my own squad to give me some ammo, but often they don't have VOIP and the voice over text is no longer displayed.
I think some of the spec ops whoring could be lessoned if another class, like the Medic or Engineer were given the M4. Plus it suits their play style more in that they are generally engaged while trying to accomplish a certain task at close range.

Seriously, WTF is the point of the AP rifleman?
That class needs to be replaced by one that actually has a role that someone can be bothered to fill out.
How about a... um...... RUN

rifleman AP was useful when my squad was defending a CP..i told someone to put clay all around...then mec came and booom theyre gone

AP definately needs to be replaced... give the engies all the mines.

Only time that I play AP is when I need the binoculars, on large open maps. And I don't feel that that many people play SF any more, I was debating between AP, Rifleman, and SF. And SF was at the bottem because of the lack of grenades and armored vests, so AP and Riflemen it is.

Put it this way, whenever I wipe out an entire squad single handedly it's an all spec ops squad w/ no medic.
Spec-Op was the sexy class in nilla so newer players gravitate towards it.
I would vote for a suppressed weapon with nerfed damage and 2 maybe 3 mags and more explosives.
Right now if I want to do Spec op stuff I use the combat engineer.
SLAMS suck
