Spec-Op Classes Equipment/Weapons Ideas

I only really have one new idea, but since this is about spec-ops i'll just re-emphasize everything I have come across and would like to see with the Spec-Ops class.

First off, I am quite glad that greandes were removed from the spec-ops class it did make the class quite unbalanced.
So,
1. Give spec-ops 2 Flashbangs instead of the lame old smokes. (if you do, make sure that tossing flashbangs isnt like trying to open up a soda can and tossing a brick like in bf2.)
-makes spec-ops feel more special.
2. Give all spec-ops in all armies optics on the guns
3. Give all spec-ops classes with the option of a silenced pistol or a grappling hook. (or as an option they get a grappling hook, silenced pistol but no M2 Slam (which would be what i personally want))
-not sure if that will work on all maps, because i heard maps with grappling hooks had to be specially modified or something.

Yes, i looked in search, and i found 2 of them, but nothing about flashbangs and the grappling hooks so sorry if I wasted your time.

Thanks for reading.

I like the idea of flashbangs rather than smokes. Most of the other stuff has been said before. At least your not saying that the m4 should be silenced, but itd be nice to see a silenced socom.

yeah i i've read into a lot of the other stuff, but i just decided to post in along with the flash-bangs since it seems to go along with it.

All the while of the post i was trying to think of balance as well, and the only thing that comes into question is the grappling hook, which (as an option) would replace the M2 Slam.

Personally, I hate the idea of a special operations... I just wanna see it phased out. The widespread use of it really kills the mood in PR.

First off, the reason why the M-4 on USMC has a higher percentage of players using it (versus any other singular class) is because the other players, (including me) have given up trying to use the m-16.
(The Spec Ops is by no means even close to the Majority, probably about 20% of the players on USMC use it.)

I know this has been adressed in other posts before, and just to keep it simple, the m-16 is unaffective as an assault weapon.

I RARELY see another player on PLA or MEC use spec-ops except me.

Spec-Ops would be used much less on USMC if the m-16 went somewhere between .4 and the newer versions levels.

The M16 is kickass and can take down enemies at ranges that are actually long, unlike the M4. Not to mention the kits that contain the M16 are alot more useful to the squad and typically have armor. Light anti-tank, rifleman, grenadier, combat engineer, and medic are all essential to a squad's ability to function... as far as I see it, spec ops is only useful for barging into rooms and opening up on full auto.

M4 can scan a much larger area without leaving the scope, so you get the first accurate shot off before your enemy.

@ Cerberus: LoL, well then you got me, and proved my point, but i can't handle the m-16 for ****. Call me crappy, but i loved the m-16 in .4

Really not nearly as many players play as spec-ops in this version, and i rarely see them played on the other teams. (I'm usually the only player)

Yeah no body-armor just makes the spec-ops class more balanced.

I want a suppressed weapon but I will be honest and say I would sit on a rooftop w/ 3 bags of ammo and just Harass & Interdict all game.

thats why i'm not sure it would be balanced, but a supressed pistol wouldnt be very effective against armored targets and only effective against unarmored targets at close range from afar. They'd get hit, and know they were being shot at. Atleast its not as bad as getting shot by snipers and not being able to hear where the round comes from, atleast you'll know the guy is nearby.

It was alot easier to use in .4... now the recoil seems way higher

I would like the idea of Specops getting flashbangs -- I would accually play them; I could flashbang a room and sweep it clear.

By the way why isn't spec-ops a limited kit?

Flash bangs are silly because Battlefield is predominately OUTDOORS.

It's not like you can't use a flashbang outdoors... and so what anyway?

So this is another thread about how we could make the spec ops PWN every other class, and so we should just basicly ruin gameplay and the essence, that being reality?

This thread is closed because 1) its been brought up MANY A TIME before in other threads. Use the searhc button and 2) its down right silly.
