Is it me or is the pickup smoke hardly ever used for vehicle pickup ? Even if it is left in I'd like to see the squad leader also get 1 normal smoke gren - I occasionaly use the pickup grenade as a distraction but it really isn't very good for cover..

and yes, I did do a quick search

officer will get normal smoke in v0.6 as well as signal smoke.

hopefully we get signal smoke working properly in v0.6, which means it will show up an icon on the map (indicating to pilots when a squad leader needs a ride)

ooooooooo.... nice.. since the release I've used it once... but when i did.. it was pretty sweet. heh

That would be great, the icon thing. They're fairly useful for attracting the enemy elsewise

the cool thing about signal smoke, is when a chopper lands it actually BLOWS the smoke grenade away with its rotarblade wash...... and the smoke disperses with the grenade....

its freakin cool as hell to watch, that is if you ever get a half decent pilot who can land properly and isnt a complete idiot.... which unforunately rules out 98% of the pilots in PR currently

i use it when i request a pick up , even tho i dont need to it looks cool.
also i use it to put behind our defense sometimes so friendly squads dont fire on us or call arty hopfully.

I use it as a decoy. If we are being spotted I like to throw it and run away from it! It has a way of attracting enemy.

I've only used squad leader smoke by accident forgetting that it wasn't regular smoke.

When I capture a USMC officer kit on AlBasrah I try to use the signal smoke to convince blackhawks to land near my squad.

I acctually got to pic up my squad leader for extraction after he and the rest of my squad were gettin beatin hard, he was yellin on the mic for extraction and I came in for landing and all I saw was trasers goin back and forth it was sic and then I landed (perfect landing by the way) and blocked all the enemy fire witht he black hawk as they filed in and got them all out of there safe and sound it was sick. But the only way I new I needed to extract them was because of the mic if he had no mic than I would probably pass right over the smoke, kind of hard to see

just a suggestion... pick up the latest version of firefox and use its spell-checking feature... it hurts to read some of this.
