Apparently, the gunner has protective bullet-proof glass on his flanks and rear. Please upgrade the humvee to use this in at the very least, insurgent maps. It will make Project Reality more realistic.

very rare. I've probably seen about a hundred of videos of humvees in Iraq, and not once have I seen any of them using bullet proof glass to protect the gunner.

Bullet proof glass shields are experimental, and uparmoured ones are comparitively rare.

Best defence for a humvee, a good squad that isn't inside when you get taken out.
Avoid built up areas, and dont drive in a straight line in the open.

More realistic if we don't have it, plus the other vehicles would have to be enhanced in some other way for play balance.

I agree Rhino totaly, so when are you stealing some fully armoured humvees from the other mod teams????? Come on, i sure you could get one in .6

And any way, if you ask nicely, they might ALLOW YOU to add a gunshield to the full armoured humvvee ****mod have created!

tell me how many times do you get shot out of the back of a hummer ingame?

and if you did get shot out loads and loads, then to keep it in blance we would need to upgrade all 3 factions heavy jeeps so they where all armored.

the fact is that it is very reare that you get shot out of the back of a hummer. 80% of hummer deaths is that they have been hit by a rocket, or some other weapon that destorys the entier hummer. then around 15% is crashing and other factors like jumping out, and then about the 5% is being shot out.

Each side needs some major improvements to their jeeps. Besides having Up-armored Humvees, the MEC Vodnik should be fully enclosed, amphibous and capable of carrying the max of 8 passengers. China just needs a new jeep if you ask me.

From what I've picked up from my time around here, the heavy jeeps will be remodeled and be fully enclosed.













But not for a very long time.
