Should the Field dressing be of different languages for their own faction to understand them:

English (current)
USA
GB

Arabic:
Insurgent (some kits)
MEC

Chinese:
PLA

Do they have access to the source textures to fix them on the models? Thats the only problem I could see, that and finding someone to translate the text correctly.

Should be easy to make some variations. Give me the text you want and I'll copy paste it :p

Not sure if it needs some recoding though...so can't promise anything.

Yeah was wondering the same thing. Shouldn't take too long, should it?

Nope texturing it is like 10mins of work.
Was just hoping to get some chinese and MECish text that actually makes sense. Don't want to copy some random chinese ads

Anyone who knows the language want to have your 'signature' in PR? :p

You need the Chinese language package installed. Not sure if it's just one or they have one for each dialect and then a simplified one. (I have Chinese Simplified).

Of course, it is said that you should never use your own field dressing on another wounded soldier, in case you are unconscious and someone needs to use it on you.

With this in mind, people often loot the fallen enemy for field dressings, but not to diminish the role of a medic, but perhaps when you have the dressing "equipped" before it is thrown down to use a buddy would have the ability to "use" it -not- like a medic pack but just like a normal field dressing on another member of the squad/team only.

Perhaps with a small bonus to HP gained for your teammate if you hold it in proximity to them... Feasable? but it would indicate the fact that healing with field dressings is not that quick. Increasing the time taken for it to have any effect even when normally deployed would be good.

Increasing the value of medics, as we still see them forgetting their role more and more, or just healing themselves and ignoring those close to them.
A medic should imo, have their healing kit out and active more often than their weapon, if this isn't the case its not being used right as a class.

What's wrong with using a field dressing on another wounded soldier? Sometimes I go ages without seeing a medic. And I loot for field dressings -- I'm sure you would in real life, loot enemies for their medical supplies and the like.

Nothing wrong with it, and i didn't say it isn't a good idea, you are getting the wrong end of the stick, i just said that equipping the field-dressing for buddy patch-up might be more realistic, rather than chucking it on the floor (which might be the only way we can do it).

My first sentance just commented on RL SOP's which the buddy healing idea might better serve. In PR using your field dressing on another soldier is a way of buddy healing already and a good idea.

Taking field dressings from the dead, also very realistic. I didn't say this was unrealistic or a bad idea.

They should remove field dressing for the special forces class and give them 7inch syringes with an animation of the player injecting it to his heart like the movie The Rock.
