Servers not showing

Weird.
I crank up PR - goes through splash screen, I log on, click on Multiplayer and it goes to the server screen and attempts to load servers.... forever.
I've never had this issue - can someone enlighten me?
It won't even list non PR servers.
I'll try vanilla BF2 to see if that works.

I have that problem too, it is indeed weird as it seems to show vBf 2 servers.

I think I may have found out what your problem is, but first open up PR and search for servers again with an x in the filters: punk buster, same mod, small maps, middle maps, and large maps (BUT NOT same version!) and see if you can find any servers. If a bunch of servers come up and they are all red instead of white like they should be, you need to update battlefield 2. The update can be downloaded from here

I actually had the exact same problem as you.........I think. I just bought battlefield 2 yesterday, because I wanted to tryout this new PROJECT REALITY thing that I was hearing about. I had actually pirated BF2 before, but then uninstalled it because of the lack of cracked servers, but now the price has gone down and I figured I'd give it another try, legally this time.
So I started playing yesterday and noticed that I could only find 1 or 2 playable BF2 servers, and I considered that strange, because BF2 is the number 3 played PC game according to serverspy.net, but it didn't really hit me until I installed Project reality and couldn't find any servers that I had a problem. Then I started thinking, and playing with the search filters, and eventually I came to the conclusion that I needed a huge patch! OH AND MAKE SURE TO UNINSTALL PROJECT REALITY BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE PATCH! or you might have some problems.
